The LED backlight is not lighting up in my Panasonic TX-43GX550B TV. I have taken the thing apart several times to have a look for different problems. Curiously, if I try turning it on after I have disassembled it somewhat, it often starts working again for some unknown reason, at which point I put it back together, put it back on the wall, everything is fine for a few power cycles and then the backlight fails again. It is only the backlight that stops working, everything else is fine.
None of the LEDs are broken or damaged - I have taken the thing apart back to the backlight and used an LED test kit to find that they are all fine.
There is no visible damage that I can see on the power board. I don't know where I'd get hold of the circuit diagram for the 17IPS72P power board anyway. Nevertheless, it seems there is a problem with the LED power delivery; I don't know what.
There is another thread talking about a similar model (Vestel 17IPS71) in some detail concluding that there is a bad resistor value in the circuit. Is this the same problem here?
