    Hi,
a week ago Nebilet reported the same issue:
"... a strange inscription appears at the bottom of the screen" Downloading from the Internet has failed "This flashing inscription appears only on the first and second program. I do not understand, since the TV is connected to the Internet, Netflix and YouTube work without any problems and this inscription after it just pisses me off because when I watch something it flashes all the time ... "

I would like to add that additionally, for a fraction of a second, the message "Content security not confirmed" appears.

As a solution, the following was proposed:
"Disable HbbTV (refer to Digital TV Receiving Settings)".

The solution is effective, but it is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
The problem occurs on all terrestrial TVP channels, where VoD has been used so far.
Of course, the above solution also turns off VoD. And I would like to continue using it.

Does anyone know what might have gone down there?
Or maybe some TVP certificate has expired? Or Sony has upgraded something and there is some new check? Which side could be the cause?
    Regards

Check for new software sometimes. If not, perform a factory reset and check again for updates. And anyway, start with a mains reset, i.e. disconnect from 230 AC. This already helps a lot.
Note: switching off and on from the remote control is not the same! Well, write about exactly what equipment is going on. For example, I have a Dacia. And do you know what car I have? and I am very pleased. And my son spent a lot of helmets on repair today B you will M. oh In expenditure ...

I disconnected from AC 230. I made a retest to the factory settings. I downloaded the update. Unfortunately, still to no avail :-(

For me, the same thing in recent days in the KDL-55W829B. It is impossible to calmly watch TV through the constantly popping up message. Exactly as with you, it mainly happens on regime channels. All combinations described for other SONY TVs do not work, i.e. changing the time to sync automatically, changing network settings, etc. do not help. Anyway, the solution as you wrote was to turn it off and out of the head. It does not make any difference to me because when I have a TV for several years, I did not use it at all, and I was even more pissed off by those loading graphics. Looking at how Sony support works and how the maintenance of applications in these TV models looks like (there used to be a few of them, now there are a few left), you can probably forget about a reasonable solution in this communication channel.

I agree with you because nothing helps to get this message out. I plowed FunBox, SONY software and nothing.

the broadcasters have changed something and the software goes silly. It remains to report the problem to SONY. Maybe they'll take pity.

In digital settings, I have [interactive application configuration] off. The bar has disappeared. I have a Sony BRAVIA KDL32W705C. I have everything I had before also WiFi.

Well great, but we already know about such a solution from the previous Neblet thread, but it is not entirely true that we have everything after that.

[interactive application configuration] turn off removes the bar, but also turns off VoD. And me (and my wife more) care about keeping VoD.

There is information on the Sony support page as in the link: https://www.sony.pl/electronics/support/articles/00184387 but in my KDL 55W829b there is no such option in this menu area. I was just looking for "HbbTV" but this clue doesn't lead to anything, unfortunately ... I thought maybe they changed the policy and we need to accept it again, but there was no software update so no new policy was sent.

I was looking for the settings you wrote about and I entered the digital settings at random and entered: Configuring the interactive application there, I turned it off for the TVP 1 channel and separately for the TVP 2 channel, this solved the problem, I do not know what I lost yet ... ???

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the persistent error message "Downloading from the Internet has failed" appearing on various Sony Bravia TV models, particularly during the use of terrestrial channels. Users report that despite being connected to the internet and having access to streaming services like Netflix and YouTube, the message disrupts viewing experiences. A proposed solution involves disabling HbbTV, which effectively removes the error message but also disables Video on Demand (VoD) services, leading to dissatisfaction among users who wish to retain VoD functionality. Several users have attempted troubleshooting steps such as factory resets and software updates without success. Some suggest that the issue may stem from changes made by broadcasters affecting the TV's software. A few users have found temporary relief by adjusting digital settings for specific channels, although the long-term solution remains unclear.
