After searching the internet, I would guess that it is most likely the ceramic valve. You will need a 12-volt power supply and a DMM with conductivity test to check it outside the circuit (motor, micro switches). Would you try reading a German forum using google translate or deepl.com? (Maybe a "hit" or at least "near hit"?)

From what I remember, the biggest challenge with this machine is getting the coffee funnel out to open the housing. (We had a "jumping" rotary encoder at the time).

Before opening the device, you might also run the CV through each step in the component test, as seen in your picture

Testing the heater is a good idea, too. Seems user ssss has experience in this.

I don't know whether the NTC-data is correct and should change during the test. 3 sec isn't much... (Make sure that the boiler is filled.)

After all, it says there is no NTC temperature of 0 degrees.

Okay, that's a plausible explanation. I have to admit that I didn't realize this at first and that I was fixated on the error message. I didn't realize that the NTC also reports near room temperature. I could just see that in the service menu on an EQ.9...

Topic summary

The Siemens EQ.8 (model TE803509DE/05) coffee machine is experiencing a persistent error message prompting users to "restart the device." Forum participants suggest potential causes, including issues with the ceramic valve, heater components, and NTC temperature sensors. Users are advised to conduct component tests and check the heater's functionality before disassembling the machine. One user plans to investigate the ceramic valve as a possible solution and will report back on the outcome.
