I have an HP USB 3.2 flash drive that I was running ATTO on to benchmark it when the power went off. When the power came back on, the flash drive was set to write protected. I have tried many tools that are supposedly able to fix this issue but none of them will do a thing to it.

    Here's the ChipGenius info

And the program PhisonWP has also been checked?

It is likely that there has been damage to the voltage generator necessary to tunnel electrons through the floating gate insulators in the programming and erasing processes. Try changing the contents of any of the sectors using a hex-editor. Save the changes. Disconnect and reconnect. Check that the changes have been saved. If not, the problem is hardware-related.

None of my searching turned up that program. It fails to turn write protect off. Tried in normal and elevated command prompt on Windows 10.

Topic summary

An HP USB 3.2 flash drive became write-protected following a power outage during an ATTO benchmark test. The user attempted various tools to resolve the issue but was unsuccessful. Responses from the forum included requests for additional details from the Phison GetInfo tool and suggestions to modify sector contents using a hex editor to check for hardware damage. It was noted that the iInfo tab was blank and the IF2P tab was inaccessible. Further resources were shared for potential solutions, but the write protection issue remained unresolved.
