Hello boys! I have exchanged the mainboard TNPH0993 in my TV Panasonic TX-L42ET5E (E like Europe) for the same board which comes from TV TX-L42ET5B (B like Britain). The TV works properly, but in the menu is missing the possibility to set the language and the region of use. I tried to set it in the service menu, but there it isn't possible either. In the end I upgraded firmware on the newest version for Europe models and expected it to help, but it didn't. The two items in the menu are still missing. So my question is: " How can I set this board from Britain TV model to the Europe model?" I think it must be possible, the boards are exactly the same, only the settings (softwares) are different. Just the menu on the picture is missing.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user who replaced the mainboard TNPH0993 in a Panasonic TX-L42ET5E TV with a board from a TX-L42ET5B model. Although the TV functions correctly, the user cannot access the language and region settings in the menu. Attempts to modify settings in the service menu and update the firmware to the latest European version were unsuccessful. Responses suggest swapping memory components, specifically the EEPROM 24C64, to resolve the issue. However, after swapping, the user encountered new problems with the CI slot and Netflix functionality.
