Acet unifone replacing with Cyfral 2017 version.
Can anyone help if this is possible, to replace the old ACET phone with the Cyfral 5P it is a 2017 version so somewhat different to the latest ones available.

The current system has 2 wires connected to the phone for all audio and lock release function, and the buzzer noise I think is created by the master station at the main door rather than the handset? Horrible noise. And there is a second pair that are connected in the wall but not connected to the phone system.

It also has a trade button which allows post man etc to open the door 8am til 4pm which activates the lock release from a button on the call panel.

3 flats in the block and a 4 button control panel one button for each flat and one trade button.

    ORIGINAL UNIFONE

    BOARD INSIDE CYFRAL 5P

Is it possible to use this replacement or do I need a different one?
Thanks to anyone that can help me out.
AI: Could you provide the specific model number of the ACET unifone you are replacing?

Is the installation site the UK?

    .

I believe there is more wiring between the panel at the entrance and the uniphone.

This could be a pair from 'ringing'. Show close-up photos of the uniphone terminals.

Yes it is in the UK.

It should say there is a pair aka yellow and green in this case that are soldered together but not connected to the uniphone. They are just left inside the hole into the wall as shown in picture I've pulled them out.

Interior of a technical casing with visible terminals and wires.

The terminals are literally numbered 1 to 6 and number 4 is missing the connector, I believe 2 wire systems have the 4 connector missing and 5 wire systems have the connector in the uniphone.

Non-descript grey box is indeed part of the system but just seems to be a power supply.
Awful wiring whoever did the wiring should be ashamed of themselves. Built 2006 for info too.

Electrical box with a timer and power supply along with wires.
The timer unit is connected presumably so that provides power during the set times for the trade button to release the lock on the door.

I don't know what would fit here?
Maybe Cyfral SMART for two-wire analogue?

Because it's a uniphone for a completely different system than you need.
Don't look for a Polish replacement, because there isn't one.

It isn't possible, so I have to replace it like for like.

Update on this, I bought a ring intercom interface which wired up allows me to answer the intercom via my mobile phone. That appeased me for a while but I still hated that ugly white/beige uniform. So I decided to try removing the phone completely and see if the ring intercom box worked still, and it does work fine.
So the unifone is gone, it does have the drawback off
A power outage or WIFI going down then I won't know anyone is at the door, but that's a compromise I can live with.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the feasibility of replacing an ACET Unifone intercom with a Cyfral 5P model from 2017. The current setup utilizes a two-wire system for audio and lock release functions, with additional wiring present but not connected. Users confirm that the existing intercom is incompatible with the Cyfral model due to differences in system requirements. Suggestions include exploring alternatives like the Cyfral SMART for two-wire analogue systems, but ultimately, it is concluded that a direct replacement with a similar model is necessary.
