I don’t know to start this so here goes. I’m new to the group, the topic I want to bring up already is posted.
I bought a second hand compressor with no lead attached to the pressure switch. It’s already wired from the switch to the motor, the motor is 3 phase 3.0kW star connected.
The pressure switch is a Condor mdr3 skr3/6.3.

I have a 3 phase power outlet, that I use for my 7.5kW lathe, that I want to use.
I had a go at putting a 3 phase cable onto the switch but the motor rotated 1 deg and that’s it until the switch tripped out.
After doing a bit of reading and tube watching, I cannot understand what you do with the neutral on this switch.
Can someone point me in the right direction.
    I’m in Australia

The wiring itself is correct. The connection of the motor, but whether the motor has to be star connected, depends on the phase-to-phase voltage, and what is it in your case? How many terminals are there in the socket or the three-phase plug, 4 or 5? And how do you understand that the motor will only turn one degree? Do they switch off the protection? Does the motor hum? Or some other symptom?

I just grabbed a cable off a three phase welder and tried using it, maybe that wasn’t a great idea. It was a 4c and earth, however the neutral was tiny in comparison to the other wires. I’m guessing that cable may have been for a delta connection.
