I didn't notice this topic earlier, sorry, but just let me add that Zigbee is a completely WiFi-independent communication protocol, so necessarily requires a gateway. The way Tuya devices work is that Tuya hardware with Zigbee connects to a Tuya gateway over Zigbee, and only then is that gateway paired with our WiFi and allowed to control further over the internet. So you are right, for Zigbee you need a gateway.

So you are right, for Zigbee you need a gateway.
