    Hello everyone,

I have a Bosch leaf blower model ALS 2500 with a rotary dial to adjust the motor speed. I’ve always preferred using it at the highest speed, but the dial has been a bit of a nuisance because it can easily be pushed downward accidentally.

Recently, the dial stopped working entirely, and now the blower only runs at a single, low-speed setting. The dial appears to use low-power electronic cables (not mains cables) to control the speed.

Since the dial is broken, I can’t use a multimeter to test it properly (and don't have one!), and I doubt I would get a useful reading anyway given its current state. My main questions are:

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement dial (was kingclean 20150420 BV-a1522-rate) or a compatible resistor that I can use instead?

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
A red potentiometer with three attached wires and a PCB, lying on a wooden floor.
Circuit board with electronic components inside a green enclosure.
A red plastic gear with wires and a metal label held in a hand, with the interior of an electronic device in the background.
Nameplate of a Bosch power tool with technical data and markings.
AI: Do you have access to the internal wiring or a circuit diagram for the speed control section of your Bosch ALS 2500, or could you provide a clear photo of the area where the dial connects?
    no
AI: Are you comfortable with soldering or making electrical modifications, or would you prefer a solution that doesn't require much technical work?
    yes

New info, I removed the dial and found this reference: Wh115 A47 100
Close-up of a circuit board with a WH115 A47K potentiometer, held between fingers.
