    Hello everyone,
I'm looking for help with a Toshiba TV,
    model: 40LL3A63DB,
    Chassis (main board): 17MB211S,
    LCD Screen/Panel: VES400UNDS-2D-N41.

TV is not working after a failed firmware update. It doesn't show the Toshiba logo anymore, only the green LED stays on. No reaction to IR remote, virtual remote, or front panel button. I suspect the SPI flash is corrupted.
    Could someone please share:
    1. A working 2MB SPI flash dump (Winbond 25Q16JVSIQ) for this exact model (or compatible)?
    2. The correct USB upgrade firmware that matches this model/panel to restore the NAND.

Any help or links would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
AI: Could you please specify the country or region where you purchased and use this TV? This can help ensure the firmware or dump provided is compatible with your model.

AI: Do you know the exact firmware version that was installed before the failed update, or can you share where you obtained the update file that caused the issue?

    >>21584708 Try, if TV is responding with the buttons on TV (see the blink LED on TV).

Unfortunately, the only button on the TV is the power button.
After flashing the wrong dump, the TV powers on automatically, the green LED stays on, and the screen remains black. The power button no longer responds, and there is no blinking from the LED when pressing it.
The TV does not enter standby anymore.
I believe only the correct SOI dump will help now.
Thank you again for any help.

    Update
I have successfully reprogrammed SPI flash chip. Now the TV responds to the original remote control again. The Toshiba logo appears correctly at startup, but after that the screen goes black.
I believe the NAND or main firmware is still incorrect or incomplete.
Now I'm looking for a complete USB update package with all 4 required files: shreder_usb_update.bin, shreder_usb_update.scr, shreder_usb_update.scr.core, upgrade_mb211.bin.
If anyone has this complete set, i would greatly appreciate your help.

    >>21586265 Thanks a lot for providing firmware.
Unfortunately, after the logo, screen still goes black and I cannot access the menu or image. I'm now looking for a full USB update set with all four files: shreder_usb_update.bin, shreder_usb_update.scr, shreder_usb_update.scr.core, upgrade_mb211.bin. If you or someone else has the full USB update, I would greatly appreciate your help!

The full software for 17MB211 has 2 files, not 4.

According to the official Vestel service manual for the MB211 project, a full USB update requires all 4 files: shredder_usb_update.bin, shredder_usb_update.scr, shredder_usb_update.scr.core and upgrade_mb211.bin.
See section 12 of the service manual in the attachment for reference.

The dump and firmware were found. The microchips were flashed. The C113 capacitor on the power board was also replaced.

Topic summary

A Toshiba 40LL3A63DB TV with chassis 17MB211S and LCD panel VES400UNDS-2D-N41 failed to boot after an unsuccessful firmware update, showing only a green LED with no response to remote or buttons. The issue was suspected to be a corrupted SPI flash (Winbond 25Q16JVSIQ). After reprogramming the SPI flash with a dump, the TV displayed the Toshiba logo but then the screen went black, indicating possible NAND or firmware corruption. The user requested a complete USB firmware update package containing four files: shredder_usb_update.bin, shredder_usb_update.scr, shredder_usb_update.scr.core, and upgrade_mb211.bin. One contributor provided a temporary link to firmware files, but the problem persisted. Another contributor noted that the full software for the 17MB211 chassis typically includes only two files, while the official Vestel service manual confirms the need for all four files for a full USB update. The discussion highlights the complexity of firmware recovery for this model and the necessity of the complete update set as per the service manual.
