I want to buy a used oscilloscope from eBay for personal use – Suggestions?

It doesn't need to be feature packed, I just want to look at wave-forms.

Features I want:
frequency auto-locking
digital screen capture file saving (hopefully not onto a floppy)
2 channels (probes included if possible)
>= 20MHz max

I would really like to keep it under $100 if possible, but if there's something nice for like $115, I'll consider it.

Andrew I have bought a few scopes from eBay before. Here are a few thoughts. Getting a used name brand scope that is a digital sampling scope on eBay with your budget might be hard to do. I have seen a few deals before but be wary of too good of a deal. You can probably find an analog scope in that range if you keep your eye out.

Here are two other places you could consider when looking for a deal.

I have bought a number of items from "Dovebid(Dovebid)":http://www.go-dove.com/ I have not purchased scopes but supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc. There can be good deals on there. One issue with dovebid is they do not guarantee the item to work.

Last take a look at the "Saelig Website(oscilloscopes)":http://www.saelig.com/category/PSBE.htm there are some pretty good chinese scopes on their as well. And they can be pretty cheap for new scopes.

Unless you luck into a really good deal you probably will get what you pay for.

I agree with Cody, I really doubt you will find a used 200MHz digital scope for $100, you may be able to find some old analog with digital readout but it will probably require calibration and probes, and it wont be 200MHz.

You need to think if you really need 200MHz, the jump on price from 100 to 200MHz is substantial and to look at most common waveforms and entry level projects you will do probably fine with 100MHz.

As Cody say you can get good scopes and reasonably priced from Saelig but you need to think in the order of $500+.

Take a look at Dave Jone's EEVblog, he did several interesting oscilloscope reviews and teardowns, and also showed an interesting hack that switches the Rigol 50MHz scope into the 100MHz model.
