Upgrading T-862 IR Rework Station With 600W 240x60 Bottom Heater Compatibility

I have a Ir rework station T-862 if you google it you will find all the info for it.. My question is, on this station it has a very small bottom heater. I notice they sell bigger bottom heater, and they look like the have the same connections wires, the heater I like to upgrade to is a Bottom Plates 600W 240 x 60. Would affect the station at all, if you look at the specs of the station, could this be something I can do? I would have to cut a larger hole for the the new bottom heater.. Please any help.

If i was in your shoes Id contact the manufacturer only

If you make a mistake here you can do irreparable damage not only to the machine but also to the equipment itself

I wouldn’t take that chance Pass your query onto the manufacturer they know best then any problems A: You wont get the blame neither will end up being fired or damage a customers peace of equipment and at what, nearly £600 to over £1000 for a multilayer board in some cases £2000, £3000

Is it worth taking that chance??

I don’t think so myself I’ve worked with infra red equipment and I know exactly how much some of that kit costs never mind the lenses or anything else

Leave it the people who know best apart from which you should know better than to ask on this forum in relations to topics such as this
