Hacking Government
Simone Halink discussed the efforts of Bits of Freedom to move the Dutch government towards transparency about its 50.000 user data requests.
So far the politicians are not very forthcoming. She also spoke about the Dutch government’s plans to implement a law allowing law enforcement agencies to hack into computers of citizens both domestically and abroad. A topic that sparked an animated discussion.
There is an audio file of all that transpired here.

Should this be allowed if so could the governments and law agencies use this tactic to set up or falsify evidence in our so called courts of law ( that which is supposed to bring justice to the people of a country ( interesting since the government are currently locking people up for hacking )
Does make you think doesn’t it and I’m not against hacking until its used to falsify evidence then this becomes a real issue which is currently carrying on throughout the globe (Fact not fiction) especially when you see how easy this is to do this is quite disturbing
That’s when I say no !! this is where digital evidence becomes null and void
Email being the simplest one it’s not legally acceptable in a court of law or any decent court of law although for some unknown reason people are inclined to think this is legally binding
Example quoted from the PDF file relating to collateral freedom (China)
The Chinese term Golden Shield refers to this combination of a national firewall with a censored domestic Internet.
(2) On Chinese microblogging (weibo) sites, politically sensitive posts are often deleted after they are published.
(3) Sometimes, the service will secretly censor a post, hiding the deletion from the post’s author, so that the author sees his post but no one else does.
(4) Or a user’s sensitive post may be rejected, and the user asked to revise it.
(5) Emails are subject to surveillance
No different to what they do on facebook or other sites including this site at times as well although at least they have the decency to notify you , not that this would ever stop or prevent such micro blogging It never will ( Quite pathetic at times)
(6)Web searches omit relevant results The Chinese companies behind these platforms work hand in hand with China’s government to implement censorship They do here in the Uk too just simply take a look at vodafones policies regarding internet access via mobile phone Wollwhich Libruary being another government aided internet access point Often you will see after puling up a search and clicking on a link that the site is restricted access , ( Also Pathetic in a lot of cases since the information is technically based One would think that the site itself could be harmfull of damaging but never the less the UK is no different to China , The rest of the world )
SMS being the next one because of Bluetooth and the ability to gain access to someone else’s phone making it look as though they have sent a message this is quite easily done as well In fact you only have to consider connecting your phone to the net via pc across a Bluetooth connection for web access to illustrate this , If you then understand that this nothing but a remotely connected modem you will then appreciate that via sms commands you can then send messages , ring other people phones and send messages to illustrate this would never be accepted and is sufficiently unreasonable to ever be accepted in a law suite
Software.... too many backdoors in via alternative means ( even Microsoft have been caught out here as too Sony) Fact not fiction
Most important factor surrounding all of this is the meaning of public, even military , and so called confidential over which I was fired believe it or not some years ago for publishing a report which was purposely designed to produce a web page for a company because it was considered confidential information It was that confidential that the software company decided to put this feature into their software so that you could create and publish an html page ( At the time not funny but looking back I can only think about how pathetic the director of this company was )
Even if its pass worded its not confidential or encrypted, its still not confidential and can be altered anywhere in the world, simple reason public access , public highways , any route that is defined as public which is used to communicate data via hard wire or Rf be that virtual or otherwise since the initialized communication request is done via a public company who use public leased lines , routers in which you can change the direction of the messages such they are re routed to another destination before proceeding to the original intended destinations ( That’s you so called privacy for you )
So too is fax data its digital you see again this is normally these days created by fax software which produces a tiff image and before transmitted or on the receiving side is recreated as tiff image in memory Under these circumstances it can then be altered very much the same as any other image or email by any person with reasonable knowledge of art packages, pc software
No data is guaranteed, only hand written will ever stand up 100% and could only ever be considered as hear say evidence or circumstantial evidence which may or may not point to a possible breach in the legal system that’s really hard to prove as it is
Good discussion this love to hear your comments on this
If Denise Hart fancies making her debut in the legal profession your chance Ill back you up all the way
A very good friend of mine who has spent many years studying in business law etc, also a prominent candidate for political leadership Will always be a fiend of my families regardless
People that are not afraid to speak their minds regardless , hence why I hold a certain amount of respect for Denise
She also liked my idea of the national identity card which was to all intensive purpose an idea we talked about across a table one day when in general discussion
I said this would have to happen in order to prevent unauthorized access to the country and stop the spread of HIV amongst many other apparent social declines
An idea that would have protected the country and its people and its jobs in full
I wasn’t that stupid either a little drunk maybe but I made sense of that I can assure you also witnessed by other people at the time including my wife and John and Donald before other companies tried to take those ideas and were subsequently rejected In fact there was sucja row in this country over this I couldnt quite believe just how stupid people have become over some of this
Supposedly they would prefer to see the population suffer the next bubonic plague although to be honest I often wonder if that might just be the answer No Imitation checks No immediate health checks on entering the Uk haven’t got a clue as to background or what’s coming in , or how
Not too concerned over a Soldier recently assassinated in broad daylight but what the hell why do we need ID cards ( I can think of a few very good reasons still such is my government and the likes of certain officials who are obviously more concerned over freedom than they are about National security ( Makes you wonder why they even bothered to go out to war in the first place not that many of us agreed with that decision either , come to that nor did the United nations but this was also ignored
I bet they wish they’d listened now
Its an interesting site and there are plenty of documents etc that you might like to read up as the concerns electronic surveillance equipment ethical hacking and even micro's cell phones and any communicating device
Those were the times when we had meaningful intelligent conversations interesting ideas about what would be good for our country not just us but our futures both young and old
Under past expression I know Denise wanted what was best for her country and I know Denise hart is completely trustworthy and will hopefully one day make a member of the bar We whish Denise all the best Denise Hart , So best of luck with this Mark
