This is my first time posting. I was recently hired in an electrical testing field and had a question. Sometimes we receive Apple 8-pin cables for iPhone 5 that can only charge, no data transfer. Other times we receive ones capable of data transfer and charging. Why is this? Also, I was running QC tests on a speaker with a iPhone 5 dock today. Usually the iPhone 5 charging docks can not play music but this particular item could play music and charge from the speaker. How is this possible? I am new to this field but I want to learn as much as I can. Thank You
