Calculating MPPT for 5V 2.5W 500mAh Mini Solar Cells in Parallel for 3.7V Battery Charging

I have two solar cells which I have connected in Parallel to increase the current provided to the system. I want to calculate the maximum Power point tracking for my solar cells. There was no information provided by the seller except the one below.

I have attached the open circuit reading of the cells under a lamp. If you can assist me in this regard it will be very much appreciated.

Also, if these cells can be used to charge a 3.7V battery?

While I don't know much about solar cells, the specs you have are nearly useless, and in some ways misleading. The 5V number is probably the maximum open-circuit (no load) voltage the cells can deliver in full sunlight (think: the Mojave desert at noon). 500mAh is pretty meaningless for a solar cell -- it's a term of *battery *capacity that essentially characterizes its chemistry's ability to hold a charge. But it, and the 2.5W number suggest that the short-circuit current (again in full sun) might be 0.5A. Again, I'm not a solar-cell expert, but that sounds _very _optimistic.
There have been some articles in the electronic design magazines in the last year or so about finding and maintaining the maximum-power point of a solar array. You may have to do some experiments to determine this for your cells. An ordinary home lamp is probably 'way too small to provide reliable numbers, though. On the other hand, if all you want to do is charge some batteries at 3.7V with these, you should be able to find a buck-boost converter (SEPIC maybe) that will allow a fairly wide input voltage range, and do an acceptable job of charging.
