Any advice on digital and analog sound distortion on a sony cd player? The unit is a cdp-ce375 it has an optical output as well as analog both begin to distort as the unit warms up.

Have you consulted sony forum with your concern? i have here a link related to it.

1. The audio skips or is distorted when playing a CD or DVD disc.
2. How to troubleshoot static sound or distorted audio coming from the CD player.

Get a can of freeze spray and a hair dryer....isolate the component(s) that begin to fail by heat...then cool them and see if the problem goes away. Troubleshooting 101
