OK I have a solenoid and when energized. It is supposed to activate piston which energizes a coil which has three LEDS in series. I am not getting anything to work, How do I determin how many turns I need the Leds ar 12 Vf each. Should I get new leds with lower Voltage? ANy help on this would be great.

Hi,

First, how many amperes does the coil generate? What is the voltage requirement for the LED? In most cases, these solenoids have small values if not properly turned. Have a look at this:
