I am conducting tests on a battery pack that has sheet tabs for connectors. I am currently using aligator clips for connectors but as I transition to a bigger battery with much higher currents, what would be a better solution for a heavy duty connection to minimize any kind of voltage drop that can occur from a low contact-area connection?

Forgive me but I don't get it. What are these sheet tabs? If you have a low contact area, wouldn't it be best to connected it directly? Unless its small as a cellphone block maybe, you can use this solid contact "connectors("")":http://www.connectpositronic.com/the-benefits-of-solid-contact-connectors/

Sorry that the picture isn't very clear but the two aluminum tabs sticking out of the black package are the terminals for the battery. I feel like I'm getting a low contact area because the alligator clips don't grip the tabs very well. I was thinking of just punching holes in the tabs and using a nut and bolt with a ring terminal on the wires as more durable connections.

If that would be possible, I think it would provide a better connection.
