i have a input voltage varing from 5volts dc to 15 volts dc.i wanna charge a battery of 12 volts.which capacitor shall i use to get a stable 12 volt dc output.

You need a buck-boost battery charger. The exact type will depend on what kind of battery you are trying to charge.

A simple capacitor will not do the job.
