My wireless weather station wind sensor has a long flat two core lead terminating in a 4 position 2 contact RJ10 (it's 7.65mm across) that plugs into the wireless sender unit.
After 9 years I've got to replace it after the anemometer's ball bearing race finally wore out. I found a likely looking replacement (Maplin N76NF) that's dirt cheap at £2.49 and worth a try. It uses the same principle of a spinning magnet closing a reed switch so is compatible that way.
Problem is, it's terminated with an RJ11 plug (9.65mm wide) on its lead. Anyone know if an RJ11 (female) -> RJ10 (male) adaptor/ reducer is available anywhere? Or I might end up just hacking into it and soldering wires together.
