Best tools to measure current consumption: uCurrent vs EE101 Insight vs QOITECH for battery life

Looking for the best way to characterize my designs current consumption during all modes of operation to optimize our devices battery life. We have scopes and have looked at the uCurrent which looks good. But is there anything better (other than the hugely expensive current analyzer)? Anyone have experience with the EE101 Insight or the QOITECH?

BobYou may want to follow Jack Ganssle of the subject. He has written several articles on this subject including reviews of current monitors.
