Hi everyone, I have 3 damaged RT-ZP10 500MHz passive probes from Rohde and Schwarz. I've been in contact with a few places to repair them and they recommend dumping them and purchasing new ones. Direct replacements are about €300+, while rebranded options are about €200+. I think this is a bit of a waste, so I decided to have a look and see if anyone knows if this is a) possible and/or b) pointless? Are they really this hard to fix? As far as I know, the damage was caused by an over voltage condition. In my naivety, I'm assuming some discrete components are fried and can be replaced. I'm probably way off.
