Where can I buy a few of these type of things, encoder discs, but cheap, anyone know, please?Most of the ones I've looked at on ebay/amazon are high precision jobs for industry, highly sophisticated, made of shiny metal and they cost a fortune. No good at all for this hobbyist.
What I'm looking for is something cheapo, made of plastic or whatever, for mounting on a motor shaft for a counting circuit employing a slotted opto switch (or two).
I think I can set up the opto switch(s) on my own. It's just the disc (s) that I'm seeking - with eight slots or 10 or 20 or 25.
I don't want to be fooling about trying to cut out discs from plastic with scissors at the kitchen table if I can buy something ready-made that's certain to have a lot more precision than I can achieve.
