ESP32 PICO D4 to 50 Ohm Antenna: Is Additional Matching Network Required?

I have designed an RF board using ESP32 PICO D4. The Datasheet of antenna used and ESP32 PICO D4 datasheetPage 16 of the MCU's datasheet states that the output impedance is 50 ohms and the datasheet of antenna states that the output impedance is 50 ohms which means that they both are matched. So can I just leave the connection between the IC and Antenna as such as shown in the image below? or Do I have to make any changes?If any, please suggest to me I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance..!!

See page 2 of 5 of the antenna datasheet for the manufacturer's recommended matching network (a capacitor and two inductors) and PCB layout for driving the antenna from a source intended to drive a 50 ohm load.

I recommend you calculate the wavelength of your 2.5 GHz RF signal in air, then calculate the wavelength in your PCB material, then one-quarter-wavelength in your PCB material, then compare to the size of your PCB circuitry.

Correction: 2.4 GHz

Note that if you wish the radiation pattern to be anything like the advertised one, you need to follow the details in the application note with respect to upper and lower ground plane and the use of vias to stitch them together. Cheers,Richard
