Hi fellow experts. I am connecting a momentary button to a 12 volt electromagnetic lock. I would like the lock to open only when the correct combination is pressed, e.g. 2 short presses and one long press. Let's assume the short is 0.25 sec < x < 0.5 sec and the long is over 1 sec. That is, I assume I need to put some kind of board, some kind of controller, a programmer between the button and the lock. And here are my questions:
1. what is such a thing called? What to look for on the internet? A link to an example purchase would be appreciated right away.
2. how is this thing programmed? What do I need apart from a computer (and the part itself, of course)?
3. would you recommend any shop (besides Allegro) with this kind of thing generally electronic?
