Hello, I have a USB flash drive that works fine, but I am unable to format it. I can delete the files inside it, but as soon as I transfer something to it, the files that I deleted reappear. I have tried many programs, but they did not solve my problem. Are there any solutions I can find here?

AI: Which operating system(s) have you used to try formatting or deleting files on the USB drive (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux)?
EaseUS Partition Master, Partition Magic app. I've tried so many apps but the problem was not solved

AI: When you try to format the drive, do you receive any specific error messages or see any particular behavior (like "write protected" or "format failed")? If so, please share the exact message or describe what happens.
    No. I think it's a software error.

    - meaning you can't delete them, you just think you're deleting them.

Run any hex-editor and try to reset sector 0. Save the changes, unplug the pendrive and plug it back in. Check that the changes have been saved. If not, you probably have a problem generating the voltages needed to tunnel electrons through the floating gate insulator. Without this, electrons cannot move in and out of the floating gate and this prevents write and erase operations. This is an irreparable fault.

    >>21854202 It didn’t work for me either. I think I will give up in the end. There is no solution.

    >>21853978 Have tried that. When I remove the flash drive and reconnect it, it returns to its original state again. I think you are right because I have tried everything. Thank you for your help.
