Subject: Siemens Avanto MRI - MSUP board Heater issue / Blown fuse & LED stuck ON
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a Siemens Avanto MRI system that currently has low magnet pressure. When the MSUP (Magnet Supervision Unit) board was connected, the system did not respond at all.
Upon inspecting the MSUP board, I found a blown fuse on the heater circuit. I replaced the fuse, but now the Heater LED on the MSUP board stays illuminated continuously, and the magnet pressure is still not increasing.
Since Siemens service manuals only provide high-level block/wiring diagrams rather than component-level PCB schematics:
Does anyone have board schematics, circuit diagrams, or voltage reference tables for this MSUP board?
Has anyone encountered this specific issue before? Is this usually caused by a shorted power MOSFET/IGBT on the driver output stage, or should I be looking at the gate driver / optocoupler section as well?
Any technical insights, schematics, or troubleshooting tips for this board would be greatly appreciated!
I measure all the fuses, resistors, and diodes. I didn't find anything weird.
Thanks in advance.
AI: Can you provide the exact MSUP board part number/revision, the location/designator and rating of the blown fuse, and ideally a clear photo of the heater output section of the board?
Fuse value: 3 ampere, name: F7
Msup model : 10142046
