In the store I asked for joint grease, they sold me "graphite grease" 2.50 PLN can ... I read a bit on google and it seems to me that it is probably not very suitable. What do you think?

PS. In a mower store I saw grease for angular gears, but for brushcutters ... maybe this one will do?
    It costs PLN 17.80 250g -30`C to 100`C Husqvarna

    Hello.
Changed "pogup" in Opel, the new one was filled with graphite grease.
    Regards.

For ball joints, especially worn ones, molybdenum grease (with molybdenum disulfide) is used. It looks graphite because molybdenum disulfide is black, but has better lubricating properties than graphite. I don't know the specific names except for the one I used to apply to Audi. It was a MobilGrease Special.

Lithium greases, e.g. ŁT-43S, are used in places exposed to moisture and grease leaching. They are resistant to significant temperature changes and washout, therefore they are often used for undercarriage components and bearings. Graphite or molybdenum greases are used for highly loaded, slow-running components not exposed to moisture and temperature. If the joints you write about are ball joints in the steering system, the ŁT-43S grease will be appropriate.

A ball joint is a highly loaded and slow-running element. MobilGrease Special molybdenum grease was recommended to me by an expert from CPN. Currently I have a Fiat Palio and according to the factory data (I have a book in front of my eyes), TUTELA MRM2 grease based on lithium soaps with molybdenum disulphide is recommended for CV joints. I believe that ŁTxx or graphite greases should not be used.

Somehow you do not want to reveal what joints it is about. Meanwhile, as many sentences as advice. I also have doubts whether you want to maintain your mower or your car. At least because of this resistance to flooding. Somehow I can imagine flooding the car's drive shaft joint (cover). In any case, the idea of using graphite grease is not bad. However, its properties (apart from the color) are similar to molybdenum grease, which is considered more appropriate and certainly more pleasant to apply. But when it comes to other joints, it may turn out that e.g. lithium grease is quite sufficient.

    It is written:

A question from a different barrel ... What lubricant for the joint in car ?

Is it the joint on the front wheel?
When you buy a rubber cover, there is also a tube with grease in the box. And it's a molybdenum lubricant.
Graphite grease is a heavy grease, it is suitable for the lubrication of overhead cranes, TIR saddles, etc. elements, not for car bearings.
It's best to look at the car repair book, not to combine it.

You see :) everyone has a different opinion ... and grease is important. There was no grease in the box so I ask, they made big eyes in the store when I asked for one and they gave it a graphite one. PS. Yes, it's a joint in the front wheel.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the appropriate type of grease for joints, particularly in vehicles and equipment like mowers. The user initially received graphite grease, which is deemed unsuitable for ball joints, especially those exposed to moisture. Recommendations include using molybdenum grease, such as MobilGrease Special or TUTELA MRM2, which are better suited for high-load, slow-moving components. Lithium greases like ŁT-43S are also suggested for areas exposed to moisture. The consensus emphasizes the importance of selecting the right grease based on the specific application and environmental conditions.
