Hello, I have a problem with the reverse light in the Fiat 126p. When the reverse polarity reverbs, the reverse light does not turn on. the bulb is good and there is no voltage on the lamp which can be the cause - I suspect something with a switch that turns on the light but where it is located and how to get it for the answers in advance thanks and best regards

Hello, check if the bulb "connects" you with the mass. The switch also check.

remove the wires from the switch on the box and jumper. then turn on.
if it turns out that the switch in the box is buried, and if not the problem is in the installation.
quite often it happened that some cable fell from the switch on the chest.

Take the meter, the wiring diagram, and measure where the voltage stops coming to the reversing bulb, sometimes it will just squeeze in contact and just do not flow. I know from experience that this is the best and the simplest way.

I had this type of problem. The quality of contacts profiled almost at right angles mounted on the reversing switch is poor because these contacts are often broken at the breaker at the time of exploitation. When assembling a new switch, I improved the manufacturer in that I reinforced them in the place of bending the inner side 2 tin drops. And from that time on, my problems with backward light have ended. I notified the producer about poor quality. He did not deign to answer my letter.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a reverse light issue in the Fiat 126p, where the light does not activate despite a functioning bulb. Users suggest checking the reverse light switch, which is located at the back of the gearbox, and ensuring proper electrical connections. Recommendations include using a multimeter to trace voltage loss and inspecting the switch for poor contact quality, which is a common problem. Some users advise bypassing the switch to test the circuit and reinforcing the switch contacts if they are found to be faulty.
