Measuring Cross-Section of DAX WK-10 Power Cables: Understanding 10mm Square Specifications

    Hello
    I just got a parcel with a set of power cables, mass, RCA + control, loudspeaker + fuse = the whole set
    DAX companies
    exactly DAX WK-10
    power cable and mass cable are 10mm square

    How do you count these 10mm square because when I measured the cross-section, i.e. the diameter with the cover, it is about 7mm

    maybe it's just the company that sells it making people into a balloon and it's not 10mm square?

    You have given the cross-section mm2, how do you want to compare it to the diameter in mm?

    you measure the diameter of the "wire" without insulation, divide by 2, square the result and multiply times 3.14 and get the cross-section of your cable. cable cross-section = 3.14 * r ^ 2 greetings

    "power cable and mass cable are 10mm square" is the thickness or the cross-sectional area? If you are talking about cables with a cross-section of 10mm square, I do not believe that their diameter is as high as 7mm! Well, okay, let's assume that they have a diameter of 7mm, then the diameter of the copper wire itself will be about 3.8mm, so the radius 'r' will be 1.9mm. So, you put in the formula for the cross-sectional area, i.e. S = 3.14 * r * r. You get a cross-sectional area of exactly 11.34mm square, which is more than what the manufacturer suggests.
