I would like to connect my garden lamp with a 220V cable buried in the ground.
I have a question, how deeply to bury the wire under the lawn, what insulation should it be made of, and whether to use any protective tubes?

Use a 3x1.5 yda wire. It is on your property so the depth of the burying is entirely up to you. You don't need to use any tube.

If you want to comply with the standards, the cable should be found
50 cm below the ground on 10 cm of yellow or white sand bedding. The cable should be secured with ceramic "U" or "V" fittings along its entire length. At the ends of the trench, a 5% supply of cable should be looped in order to dampen harmful surges and in the event of future modifications. The cable used should have a sheath designed to be buried in the ground [black]. Such a coating is better because the loss of its protective and plastic properties may occur after a minimum of 1000 years. White and gray coatings [installation cables] are not suitable for excavation because their durability is only 500 years.

But seriously :) if it is going to be a pit under the lawn, buy the right amount of peschla pipe, but not the electrical installation only for water installations / which [it is much more durable and costs a little more expensive [30-40gr / m].
Pull the YDYp3x1.5 wire there and with it some other strong string or wire [not steel because it will corrode with moisture] and lay it in a trench deep or one and a half.
Make sure that no water or sand / soil gets into the pipe in the future. Thanks to this, you will be able to use it in the future to arrange other cables [gate control, intercom, etc.].
Before you cover up the excavation - take photos of the entire excavation with a digital camera in perspective with the house and garden.

YDY cables are not intended to be buried in the ground. For this there are YAKY or YKY (black) cables.

But you only have a garden lamp to power it, you do not need to be crazy and the Creapi solution will also be good

Oops my mistake. Nice to be YKY of course. Sorry

YKY or YDY, the difference in this case does not matter because both of them are PVC insulation. And whether it will last 500 years or 1000 years is a topic for a seminar and panel discussion with the participation of specialists in the power industry and a specially appointed group of engineers whose daily diet exceeds the monthly wages of warbipower three times.

accurately --- right to the point :)

[quote = "warbipower"] There are also YAKY or YKY (black) cables.

This type of cables has to be abandoned, so-called cross-linked YAKxs

I join the speech Creapi , I just add that with a shallow trench, it is enough to lay a permanent cover over the cable, so that if in a few springs you may pitch a tent there, you will not damage it with herring :D
This method is shown in a simple drawing

    Hello
Thanks to everyone for your help.
    greetings

Topic summary

To connect a garden lamp using a 220V cable buried underground, it is recommended to bury the cable at a depth of 50 cm, with a 10 cm sand bedding for protection. The cable should be secured with ceramic fittings and should have a sheath designed for underground use, such as YKY or YAKY cables, which are suitable for this application. It is advised to avoid using YDY cables for burial. Additionally, a protective cover over the cable can help prevent damage from future landscaping activities. A loop of extra cable at the trench ends is suggested to accommodate future modifications and to mitigate surges.
