    Hello
At the beginning, I wish you a healthy sunny world, etc ...
    Please advice
After turning on the computer, the following message appears: For realtek RTL8139 (X) / 8130 / 810X PCI Fast Ethernet Controller v2.16 (041224)
PXE-E61: Media test drive failure, check cable
    PXE-MOF: Exiting PXE ROM
Reboot and Select proper Boot device
I am a layman in these matters, but after searching the internet and the forum, I checked the order in Bios and set up 1 - CD / DVD, 2-HDD, 3 network (I also tried to be the first HDD). Does not help
I also checked the Master and Matherboard cables are not loose.
I will add that in addition, when turning on the computer, I hear clicks (8 clicks as the computer was turned off for a longer time, or 4 when the computer was turned off).
The message appeared suddenly - yesterday the computer was working fine, there was nothing installed on it)
Computer data: Packard BL IMED 1429
CPU Type: AMD Athlon 64 processor
    BIOS version: A7168AP1 V3.03 01/23/06
    Onchip VGA Bios Version: 008.0451.002.000
Please advice ... Or confirm that it is the fault of the disk. \
    Thank you in advance

PXE messages don't interest you at all. They appear because the motherboard cannot find the PXE server (that is, boot from the network). The problem is that it goes through the other boot options.

Specify what clicks are for you - are these sounds from the system speaker, or is something on the computer making a strange noise? If the latter is the case, unfortunately the disk mechanics are probably gone and the disk will need to be replaced.

The noise is not from the system speaker - as you wrote, it is a rather strange noise from the computer. So the second possibility.
    Thanks for the information.

I will refresh the topic a bit; it shows me the same error as my friend. I would like to add that in bios I set up 1. CD, 2. HDD, 3. FDD, 4. LAN. I tried - still the same. Back to bios -> boot -> and on shift + 1 cast, so in my bios it turned off booting from lan completely. The same problem continues.

Also, I am now writing from a Linux LiveCD and I can see that I can access the disks from within Lin and all folders. So it is hardly the fault of the HDD since it works on Linux. I suppose, of course, but I am asking for advice from more experienced people than me.

The computer is a Toshiba A200-1Z2 Laptop
I do not know if it makes sense to enter other parameters, if so write it. best regards

and now I'll refresh the topic a bit. after turning on the computer, a message appears to me
PXE-E61 Media test failure, check cable
    PXE-M0F Exiting PXE ROM
    Operating System not found.

what does this mean and what should I do to make my computer work normally? I'm green on these issues and need help pretty quickly. I will add that it started showing when I accidentally threw my phone at my laptop; x

The message means that the laptop did not detect the hard drive and tried to boot from other devices (network card).
If the shock from the impact was strong enough and the laptop was turned on then, most likely the hard drive has broken. If you are green on these issues, unfortunately you won't do anything about it. I recommend that you call your friend, an IT specialist, computer shop / service, to remove and check the hard drive, possibly recover data.

    Hello,
    I'll refresh the topic

I have the same message after replacing the disk with the same but functional.
    In bios
    1. CD
    2. Disk
    3. Ethernet

A Windows CD is inserted in the station, but it does not want to start, but immediately goes to this message.
Anyone have any ideas on how to prevent this?
