    Hello!

I have already set up various things with tech'em 2, but somehow I can't find the automatic switching on of the lights after the ignition switch. Please let me know where I can find it :) Maybe there are other goodies ... in the style of "light the way home" or closing the windows after locking the car, closing the door after starting, etc ...

    Thank you !

    Greetings,

    Hello!

it will warm up a bit ... what is the difference between the individual modes of switching on these lights, there are probably 5 of them ...

    Greetings

Set everywhere 1 or 2. In general, they differ in that you have positional ignition after switching on the dipped beam, or immediately dipped beam after switching on the ignition.
    IMPORTANT!!!
To turn on the high beam anyway, turn the knob to the passing position (despite the programmed automatic lights).

    thanks for the info!
what about the rest? 3 to 5?

btw ... only turn on the front? In the end, there is probably already such a recipe that for the daytime they can only do the front passing ...

    Greetings

    Hello !
Recently I have an Astra 3 with a light sensor and I dealt with the issue of automatic lights by covering one of the elements in the sensor system. In practice, I checked the operation and the rain sensor is working flawlessly. 10 minutes of work and the problem is solved. If the switch is in the AUTO position, the lights come on after starting the engine.

    It's not professional.
And to a colleague above, i.e. a dusk sensor, it is located in the same area as the rain sensor.

Hello, I will warm up the old topic, but it will definitely be useful for some people who want to activate the blocked / hidden options in their Opel cars, some of these functions are usually available in our cars and they are simply not activated, because the first owner did not pay extra in the showroom.
Some options, such as closing the windows or automatic locking of the doors while driving, require the so-called comfort module in the rear electronic unit (REC), not every Opel has it, it's a lottery.
How and what can be activated by connecting via the OBD2 diagnostic connector is described in the step-by-step instruction, which I add as an attachment.
Here the discussion is about daytime running lights, people don't have to undress or cover anything up. It is enough to choose variant 5 (not 2 or 3) and only at the front, in REC we do not set anything because why do we need the lights at the back? In the 5th variant, the lights do not turn on after the ignition is turned off, but only after the engine is started, when it works independently. In addition, after activation, these functions can be quickly turned off and on so that the daytime lights come on after firing, or do not light up, how? With a quick movement of the circular headlamp knob - from zero off to extreme right (low beam on position) and immediate return to zero off position. This is useful, for example, for a mechanic when they often have to start the engine for tests, they do not need daylight in the workshop, and in other situations, for example, when you sit in the car at night, heating the cabin on a fired engine and you do not want the lights to shine. Quickly switching the lights on and off again reactivates the functions. You just have to remember that the daytime running lights do not have an indicator light on the dashboard.

There are many useful step-by-step descriptions in the manual, as well as a detailed table describing each of the 5 modes of daytime running lights. It contains descriptions of error codes and a lot of other useful information.
If such an instruction was already given, please edit the post, delete the instruction itself or the whole.
The manual is based on the zafiraklub.pl forum

Unfortunately, this function does not work for me. Is this done with the ignition on or off?

the function works only when you have activated daytime running lights in uec and rec Cable opcom, tech, but I advise you not to service - just the ignition is on --- you do not have daytime running lights you have no function

The daytime lights can only be lit in the front, but there is no DRL here, only the so-called Scandinavian mode and the dipped beam headlights are on, so the position lights must also be on. If I am wrong, please correct me by quoting the relevant entry in the Highway Code or the Journal of Laws.

This solution has a disadvantage - it also changes the interior lighting.

There is nothing here about the Scandinavian mode and I have not seen asters, we are talking about the H model with factory LEDs or the so-called DRL, let's focus on the factory version. In the computer, it is the automatic light mode implemented with the dipped headlights (position and clock backlight depending on the program), each program has its own settings, I have mode 5 and the position and backlight of the clocks are not lit. are separately programmed) and the tail lights are also programmed separately. It seems to me that the "friend" wanted to turn on the automatic lights mode (you do not need to turn anything on or off) because he read about it somewhere that you can turn this mode on and off with the light switch and that's true, but first you need to do it all turn on the computer - op com or tech. In the attachment there is a table with variants, but as to its effectiveness, it can be different, because there are a few more but and or.
    The Highway Code
    Legal status: January 2011
Uniform text of the road traffic law
    TRAFFIC
Chapter 5 - Order and road safety
Division 3 - Use of exterior lights
    Art. 51.

    1. The driver of the vehicle is obliged to use the dipped beam while driving in the conditions of normal air transparency.

Pursuant to the regulation of May 4, 2009 (Journal of Laws No. 75/2009, item 639), the rear position, front, side and rear marker lights, as well as the number plate lights cannot be turned on together with daytime running lights. . The above provision applies to vehicles registered for the first time after December 31, 2009. It means, however, that in cars registered until December 31, 2009, daytime running lights may (but do not have to) illuminate together with the others. However, when registering after January 1, 2010, such lights can only be lit at the front.

if you add daylight, no mode will help here, only the dusk sensor can help here the dipped beam lights up when it is dark

All in all, it is right, at most, to turn off these modes for daytime driving and, if necessary, the owner must remember to turn on the dipped beam himself when it starts to get darker.

    Hello!
I will step on the topic, because the topic of the light switch was raised.
I have an Opel Astra H from 2005. Unfortunately, I noticed that the headlight adjustment (up-down) did not work for me, so I bought a used light switch. I do not have halogens in my car, but I bought a switch with a halogen switch with the idea that I will also install halogens in the future.
After removing my switch, which worked well in addition to adjusting the lights, I hooked up the other with the halogen function. Unfortunately, after connecting a new switch, nothing works. The lights stay on regardless of whether the stop or dipped beam is on. Of course, when you turn off the ignition, everything turns off. Thinking that the switch is broken, I put on my old one, thinking that everything will be ok (except the adjustments of course). Unfortunately, the problem is the same as with the new switch ... nothing works and the lights are on when you turn on the key.
What could be wrong? Fuses gone? (I didn't check because the night found me). Or maybe you need to connect the computer when changing the switch?
I would also like to add that despite the fact that the lights are shining on the clocks, the green indicator of the lights on does not come on: / (previously it was on).
Perhaps one more valuable note, namely the lights were probably pre-programmed, because after starting the engine, the lights came on even though I did not turn them on on the switch. After switching to the parking lights, the parking lights came on. Currently, the dipped headlights are on all the time, regardless of the position of the switch (whether it is 0, parking or low beam).
Maybe the battery should be disconnected for a while?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Disconnect the battery. plug in, take a ride, then turn off the car and fire up. Sometimes a spell like that helps. And don't bury any more.

disconnect the battery or delete computer errors - your choice, and the motors in the lamps are there to make the regulation work? maybe you have xenons? Yes, after disconnecting the radio, it may de-program but not encode it, the radio is assigned to the car if it is the original, it depends on your radio, the daily mileage and average fuel consumption will be deleted.

    Hey, I have a question.
Yesterday I set the lights on the 5th option. Everything seems to work, but.
Until now, I had to turn it on manually, unless after dusk (auto option on the knob) they turned on by themselves.
In the opcom we changed to option 5. Everything is fine - the fronts turn on after starting the engine.
But I imagined it differently, namely - when it gets dark or I drive into the underground parking lot, all the necessary lights come on. This is not the case.
In position 0, the front is turned on, in position auto, all possible ones are turned on.
Question: Does this option look like this and when it gets dark, I have to turn it on myself :( ?

    Hello,
Do you need an original opcom or tech to set the lights? You can get cheap Chinese opcoms on ali. Enough for this?
Or maybe someone managed to set up some cheap interface?
The most disturbing thing for me is that the display dims after turning on the lights and you can hardly see the sun shining.

Hello, after changing the op-com to position 5, the front and rear lights, it seems to me that the rain sensor stopped working. Now it is waving in the first position slowly whether it is raining or not, in the second one it is waving medium and in the third position in h ... Quick. It must have worked before, at least before programming. I will add, although I believe that it has no connection, I also added windows from the remote control. Do you think it could be a programming fault? Currently I am unable to reverse the process due to the lack of op-coms temporarily. Recently, I installed a microphone for the speakerphone, led it in the post above the compartment in the passenger pillar in the windshield and released the cable literally next to the sensor between the windshield and the headlining. Could I have broken something in the sensor? Is it on WiFi heheh. Greetings to the forum members and thank you in advance for any answer :)

    Hi,

I know this is a rather age-old topic, but I would like to add automatic daytime running lights to my Astra H.

I have tried the variants of automatic daytime running lights that are for inclusion in the UEC and REC modules, and they would be great if not for one unpleasant fact that if the light switch is on "0", it is impossible to use the long lights. What follows is that the daytime running variants are not able to replace the switch with the word auto, because at night I have to turn on the lights manually anyway, and this is annoying.

I don't care about the lights turning on when it's dark. I just want the low beam lights to turn on by themselves when the engine starts and turn off when the engine is turned off.

In the Corsa D, which I also own, I have a light switch with the AUTO position, but there is no rain sensor there. The lights work in it exactly the way I want them to.

Question: how to get such an effect in the Astra H? What will happen if I put a switch with AUTO position?

With no sensor on the windshield, will the lights in AUTO position shine all the time or not shine at all?

If I need to add some wiring to get the effect what kind?

    Please help and regards :).
