Hello. I recently rented an apartment and the previous landlord left a router and internet from vectra. Unfortunately, I can't connect to it wirelessly in any way. Supposedly, the password to the network is first and last name, but he enters his data and the computer does not want to connect. Does anyone know what information to enter? Thanks to this, I would have the Internet for free for almost half a year :D

No way :( over the cable. vectra blocks access to the administration panel. I spent several days looking for a solution to this problem and found nothing.

Connect via cable, check uppercase/lowercase letters.

He did not share the password because he does not remember it himself, the fitter entered it for him when he set up the network and it stayed like that because he knows very little about computers
and the router model is Thomson TCW750-4

I don't have permission because this person moved out! My point is that maybe someone has this router from vectra and would write me what the password looks like. Ideas of hooking up to someone else's vectra are doomed to failure in advance
because the modem will only give two IP addresses and not one more
and at least two computers at home, most Poles already have, so there would be a conflict of ip addresses.

Yeah. I read. What are those letters? Big, small, first big?? Because I've already written so much with poetry.
P.S. do you enter Polish characters in network passwords? e.g.:

Did you read and try to enter, exactly according to the formula, all lowercase letters?

    Hello

The answer in this case is simple. In Vectra routers, the password to the Wifi network is the MAC address of the router, which you will find on the sticker located on the bottom of the device.

If that's really the case, that's quite a bummer. Even with a stupid inSSIDer you can get to know the MACi of wireless devices.

Such a solution is stupid, because anyone with a little brain can hook up with a neighbor. Well, but these are the passwords that Vectra sets in its routers. And WPA2 encryption will do nothing in this case.
The funniest thing is that the default password to the administration panel is changed by the operator, so we can't change the Wifi password ourselves (unless we reset the router to factory settings).

And in Vectra you don't have to use the "subscriber panel" to get to the settings of your device, as it is, for example, in Aster?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user unable to connect to a Vectra WiFi network, believed to be secured with a password based on the previous landlord's first and last name. Various suggestions are provided, including checking for correct capitalization and using the format "name.surname" with a dot. It is noted that the password may also be the MAC address of the router, which can be found on a sticker on the device. The user mentions that the router model is a Thomson TCW750-4, and there are concerns about Vectra's network security practices, as the default settings restrict user access to the administration panel. The conversation highlights the challenges of connecting to a network without the correct password and the limitations imposed by the service provider.
