ECM stands for engine control module, so I don't know what program you are looking for.

Supposedly unicorns live beyond the Urals and what is the result of this?
Say specifically what you want to do and what you need.

Winsol is not difficult, editing maps is not easy. A colleague above rightly asked what you want to do, if you want to bury yourself, winhex is freeware and you will mess with it. Anyway, I don't know of any ECU batch editing freeware.

In fact, the only significant (commercial) software to edit is http://www.evc.de/en/default.asp or https://www.vcpowerteam.com/, while working on both, I am definitely going to buy the first one.

Colleagues write about modifications to the ecu. Is there any (inexpensive) application / interface with which it will be possible, for example, to edit the air conditioning function (addition). I have an op-com, but unfortunately I do not have access to such things there. Opel is reluctant to do this work, and they probably do not know how to do it. I don't have CAN yet.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around finding software to modify engine ECU maps, specifically for driver map adjustments. The original poster seeks an easier alternative to WinOLS for ECU mapping. Responses suggest various software options, including MAXBOX and commercial solutions from EVC and VCPowerteam. There is also mention of WinHex as a freeware option, though it may be complex for beginners. Additionally, a user inquires about inexpensive applications for modifying specific functions, such as air conditioning, using an OP-COM interface, highlighting the challenges faced with OEM support for such modifications.
