Mapping is a purely IT term - what does your friend mean?

It's about engine tuning - uploading a new program (map) to the controller to increase power.

I had a client once who came to something and used the word "mapping" and basically didn't understand what he was talking about and after half an hour it started to piss me off, and it's the same in your case.

Why are you pretending to be underdeveloped? My friend, it's about training in chiptuning. Buddy, don't give you info about what and where you can forget about it. You are left with self-denial and foreign forums.

You know, if someone charges PLN 900 for a "virus", they won't brag about how to do it on the forums, right? You make a stand with any engine with a computer, you make an engine dynamometer for it, buy equipment and learn. :) As our grandparents once learned from 126p engines.

Colleagues, the author asks for specifics, so equipment, soldering iron for ICs, cable, program, plugin to embed IC for programming, new map (and internet) and a lot of knowledge about what you do. I forgot to add good eyes for re-soldering the bones.

I have permission in the company to consume 50g of vodka before soldering / soldering the IC, or at Tricore, if you need to solder some hardcore pad. :D :D :D :D
    Of course not with DIP28
It's best to compare the ripples before and after tuning, you read, send to some tuning company, you get a mod and compare what is picked. If you know English well, they will help you on foreign forums. Forget us.

I wrote the same. Coming back to the topic, it doesn't make sense to score points, because the author went silent a long time ago, so our arguments don't make sense because we don't answer the author anyway. I greet everyone.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around engine mapping, specifically in the context of engine tuning and chiptuning. Participants clarify that engine mapping involves uploading new programs (maps) to the engine control unit (ECU) to enhance performance. Various responses highlight the need for specific equipment, such as a soldering iron for integrated circuits (ICs), cables, and software for programming. Additionally, the importance of knowledge and experience in tuning is emphasized, along with the suggestion to seek information from foreign forums and tuning companies.
