Hello, I have a small problem, I have 2 graphics cards, integrated and GT 540m (in a laptop) and when I want to run the PEsa 2012 game, it says in settings that I have Vram (graphics) 64mb, and if I know it well, it should be supported in games graphics processor or Nvida GT 540m graphics card.
I don't know how to deal with this problem, I remember that in xp you had to figure something out and change the card from the child to the parent and it was after the problem. In wines. 7 is a bit more difficult. I am asking for some advice ....

You tried to rearrange here: Control Panel -> NVIDIA Control Panel -> 3D Settings Management -> Global Settings -> Choose your preferred graphics processor - and choose GT540M.

So I ask, do you have an NVIDIA OPTIMUS sticker on your lap? If so, you don't have to worry about anything, the system itself chooses the card that it needs at the moment.

Yes, it's true that a dedicated gaming card should launch itself

Only you can check if you have this card in the system, e.g. everesetm or through the hardware manager. Besides, it's a silly idea to force this card to work continuously as it will drastically reduce the battery performance.

Are the games cutting or are they working well? If they work, what's your problem?

The system will not show you that it is using that card, I went through this myself. Read about this technology and you will understand what it is about, and if the game jams, run it in accordance with win xp sp3.

    greetings

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user experiencing issues with their laptop's graphics card configuration, specifically needing to switch from the integrated graphics to the NVIDIA GT 540M for gaming purposes. The user initially attempted to change settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel but faced persistent problems, including the game PES 2012 detecting only 64MB of VRAM instead of the expected 1GB. Other participants suggested checking for an NVIDIA Optimus sticker, which indicates automatic switching between graphics cards, and provided a link to a manual that ultimately helped the user resolve the issue.
