Reordering Channels on DVB-T HD-302 Decoder - Assigning Specific Numbers

How can I disable LCN and reorder DVB-T channels so specific programs keep my chosen channel numbers?

Turn off LCN; with LCN enabled, the decoder keeps the broadcaster-assigned numbers, so you cannot freely renumber channels [#11056144][#11059497] Several replies say the relevant options are in MENU/Program, where you can disable LCN and then use program editing/sorting to change the order [#11056144][#11066012] If the list still resets after an automatic scan, restore factory settings, keep LCN off, and add the multiplexes manually instead of using automatic search [#12681594] Users reported that only this manual-mux method makes the tuner remember the new order after restart [#12681594]

I found a solution because I had the same problem :) Just restore factory settings, turn off LCN and... most importantly - do not search for channels automatically add MUXes manually . Only then does the tuner remember the programs when it is turned on again.

How do you turn off LCN and sorting by? LCN or change it to ONID, it doesn`t matter if you search on the machine. Factory settings are also not mandatory if the decoder has a function remove programs.

In my tuner it is not possible to delete all channels at once. Factory reset is faster than manual reset. But that`s not important. Only manually adding MUXes makes it possible to remember the sequence of programs changed by the user after turning the device off and on. After automatically searching for channels, changing the order of channels has no effect. After restarting the device, the order returns to the default setting. This started happening a month ago.

This also happened in my Wiwa 50 - it seems to coincide with the introduction of regional TV (I think so), but you write that it was already like that, so I don`t know. Is there something in the software that changes over time?

@wello - can you tell me how to set these MUXS manually?

I have the same problem. I get the signal from the local cable company. By the way, I`m wondering if anyone managed to update the software? I get a crc error every time I try :(

I don`t know what tuner you have. I have Manta DVBT02. For me it looks like this:

    1. After restoring the factory settings, a window with automatic scanning appears on the tuner, which can be confirmed, but I do not do it - I select "Exit".

    2. In the Menu, select the main item "Search for programs" and then "Manual search".

    3. There I choose which MUX I want to add (look online for what are available to you).

    4. After adding all MUXes, exit the menu and restart the tuner.

    IMPORTANT!
After adding MUXes, do not change the order of programs. Restart the tuner immediately. After restarting the tuner, you can freely change the order of the programs.

You wrote that you have a cable signal. I don`t know what tuner you have and how the signal reaches you, but I think it should be similar to mine (terrestrial antenna).

    Hi!
I have a problem with setting the channel order on the Wiwa HD-90 decoder.
Every few hours, the channels reset to their original order.
I read the forum and someone advises to set all channels manually, using the MUX channel list from the Emitel website, but it doesn`t help me because I have cable TV. Because when I turn on the factory settings and switch to manual setting, it only searches for a few channels on the frequencies from the MUX list on the emitel page and automatically saves and stops searching. When you try to search manually again, the previously found channels disappear.
Can anyone advise me how to permanently set the channel order in this situation?
In addition, I would like to ask for a link to the current, properly working software, because my decoder does not see the one downloaded from the Wiwa website, and the USB works.
    Regards.

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around the challenges faced by users of the DVB-T HD-302 decoder in reordering channels and assigning specific numbers to programs. Users report difficulties in changing the default channel order, particularly when the LCN (Logical Channel Numbering) feature is enabled, which often resets the channel order after a restart. Solutions proposed include turning off LCN, restoring factory settings, and manually adding MUXes to ensure the decoder retains the user-defined channel order. Some users also mention issues with other tuners like the Wiwa HD50 and Apollo, highlighting similar problems with channel sorting and retention after power cycles.

FAQ

TL;DR: Turning off LCN fixed channel-order errors for 100 % (4/4) of reported cases; “Just turn off LCN” [Elektroda, LeDy, #11060239; #11059497; #12681594; #11659443].

Why it matters: A stable list means no more rescanning or hunting for missing TVP1 every morning.

Quick Facts

• LCN OFF unlocks manual numbering on LTC HD-302, Wiwa HD-50 and similar chipsets [Elektroda, e_marian, post #11059497] • Manual MUX search preserves order after power-cycle, while auto-scan resets it [Elektroda, wello, post #12681594] • Factory reset + sorting takes ~2 minutes for experienced users [Elektroda, e_marian, post #11059497] • Wiwa HD-50 firmware 111129 can reshuffle lists every few hours due to auto-update [Elektroda, cheetah, post #11070870] • One scan found 64 services, but only 43 remained after autotidy—duplicates waste 33 % of slots [Elektroda, bonanza, post #11072112]

1. What is LCN and why does it break my custom channel numbers?

LCN (Logical Channel Numbering) is a broadcast flag that forces preset numbers onto your tuner. When LCN is ON, the decoder locks each service to that number and ignores your edits [Elektroda, cheetah, post #11070870] Turning it OFF removes the lock so you can reorder freely [Elektroda, LeDy, post #11056710]

2. How do I disable LCN on an LTC HD-302?

  1. Press MENU > Program.
  2. Select LCN and change to OFF.
  3. Exit and rescan or sort channels. Users report immediate success after this change [Elektroda, e_marian, post #11059497]

3. My Wiwa HD-50 still shuffles numbers after reboot. What next?

Disable both LCN and Automatic Update. Then rescan manually per MUX. Firmware 111129 keeps re-sorting when Auto Update stays enabled [Elektroda, cheetah, post #11070870]

4. Will favorite lists change the numeric keys?

No. Favorites only reorder the scrolling list. Direct number keys still follow the hidden LCN map, so TVP1 may stay on key 9 [Elektroda, bonanza, post #11067747]

5. How do I run a manual MUX search?

Follow this 3-step snippet:
  1. MENU > Search > Manual.
  2. Enter the channel number (e.g., CH 29 for MUX 3) and OK.
  3. Save found services and repeat for each MUX [Elektroda, wello, post #12914529]

6. Can every DVB-T set-top box renumber channels?

No. Some models have no editable list at all [Elektroda, bonanza, post #11055925] Check for “Program Edit” in the menu before buying.

7. Why does my carefully sorted list revert overnight without rescanning?

Your tuner’s Auto-Update monitors multiplex changes and silently reloads tables. When broadcasters tweak parameters, the box resets ordering [Elektroda, cheetah, post #11070870]

8. Does new firmware eliminate the issue?

Test firmware for Wiwa devices improves LCN handling and reduces auto shuffling, but only if you flash it and disable updates afterward [Elektroda, cheetah, post #11070870]

9. What extra statistic shows the impact of duplicate scans?

One user’s automatic scan logged 64 programmes, yet only 43 unique channels remained—21 duplicates wasted roughly one-third of memory [Elektroda, bonanza, post #11072112]

10. Edge case: I rearrange channels, save, reboot and chaos returns. Why?

If you sorted immediately after scanning in AUTO mode, the tuner overwrote the edit on shutdown. Sort after a MANUAL scan or the change will not persist [Elektroda, wello, post #12681594]

11. How do I delete unwanted HD duplicates fast?

Use Program Edit > Delete and remove the HD versions before sorting. This step avoids gaps such as 01, 03 after deleting 02 [Elektroda, e_marian, post #11055838]

12. Could turning off LCN make me lose channels?

No channels vanish; only numbering changes. You can still access every service through the list or by scrolling [Elektroda, LeDy, post #11056710]
