    Hello,

What cables should I lead, in a newly built house, to each window if I want to install roller shutters with electric drive in the future? Of course, it is about the cross-section and the number of veins.

    Regards.

Power supply 3x0.75mm ^ 2 or 3x1mm ^ 2, wires for the switch at each shutter (power supply to the switch and the shutter switch), unless radio-controlled.

If you think about the central control of the roller blinds from one place (the cost of buying a gun and a controller), then 2x0.75mm2 for each roller blind converging to the central control points. It can be on a loop basis.

It is advisable to plant deep boxes next to the roller shutter switches, which will allow for possible modifications (adding a radio receiver or radio receivers).

To control ordinary cables (LGY type) 5x0.75, power supply 3x1, regardless of whether LGY or YDY.
You need Up / Down + limit switches to control. In some implementations you have it on 5 wires. The cost difference of 3x or 5x is negligible.

    Hello,

So I understand that 3x1mm2 is enough to power it. Control 5x0.75mm2 also. Assuming that the blinds will be controlled from a central point in the house, I run two wires (power supply and control) to each blind and lead them outside in the upper corner of each window where the blind will be located, right?
One more question, wouldn't one 4x1mm2 cable be enough (phase for upward direction, phase for downward direction, N and PE)? Limit switches I understand that they are installed in the drive and disconnect the phase wires (the lower one disconnects the downward movement, and the upper one upward movement), right?

    Regards.

The least you need is 4 wires - N, up, down, PE. 5-wire drives are very rare. For radio-controlled drives with the ability to be controlled by a switch, you have N, L, up, down, PE. So 5 wires is ideal and universal. The limiters are in the drives.

Hello, and how to lead out the cables from the roller shutters, if their installation will be plastered. I took the wires from the boxes next to the window, but all blinds have their wires in the motors with a margin of about 1.5 m. How to install correctly?

Two years have passed so she has probably dealt with swim's dilemma. For those who read and have a similar puzzle, the roller shutter cable is usually pierced through the mounting foam and it breaks. That's why you won't do it after plaster.
At the same time, close to the top corner of the window, e.g. about 15 cm from, put an access box on the wall. In the can, we drill a hole through the outer wall. to the other side to push the motor cable into the inside of the box. There are also extensions to the box. room, 5x1mm2 cable from the control button. After plastering and connecting the cable, the blinds are usually 4x1mm with a 5x1mm2 cable.

All in all, it is easier to first drill a hole diagonally with a long drill, starting from the side of the window frame to the outside, to the inside of the room. Then you should make a hole for the can.

When choosing cables for electric roller shutters in a new house:

    1. **Cross-Section**: Use 1.5mm² to 2.5mm² cross-section cables, depending on the current rating of the shutters and the distance from the power source.

    2. **Number of Veins**: Typically, a single-phase shutter motor requires a 3-core cable (live, neutral, earth). For three-phase motors, use a 5-core cable (3 phases, neutral, earth).

I did my own 13pc blinds.

A 5x1.5mm2 is sufficient and you can also do the control on it, but you give up the PN (protective). This means 3 wires for the power supply of the roller shutter and two for the so-called short circuit/control (more info below).

There is no need for access boxes, as every roller shutter must have a manual button in case of an emergency. For example, if the wifi does not work. Preferably somewhere next to the window, as it is not used much.

Roller shutters mainly have 4 wires of approx. 1.5 m cable (top, bottom, zero and protective).

Push the roller shutter cable through the foam (between the window and the block), then cover the cable with plaster inside the rooms.

You can extend the cable, e.g. if you want to have two roller shutter buttons next to each other, e.g. for double patio shutters.

Route all 5x1.5mm2 cables from the roller shutters into the garage to a separate box, as there will be a lot of them.

For some central buttons or for the floor, 2x or 3x0.5mm2 are sufficient. Also run to the above-mentioned box.

If you have all the cables in the box, you can do whatever you want.

All pushbuttons work like a two-wire short, where you put a low voltage of 5V into one wire.

A module in the control box recognises the short to 5V and decides what to do with the roller shutter.

You will have to decide which module(s) will be in the box.
You can either have separate wifi controllers for each roller shutter or a single wifi control for all roller shutters + one wifi control for the app.

    Good luck.

And is it possible to make it so that from the light switch goes an L, N 3x1.5mm2 bridge to the roller shutter switch (both switches side by side) and to the Shelly PLUS 2 PM underneath it, and from the controller to the roller shutter 4x0.75mm2. Would this be good?

Topic summary

To install electric roller shutters in a newly built house, it is recommended to use cables with appropriate cross-sections and vein counts. For power supply, a 3x1mm² cable is sufficient, while control can be managed with a 5x0.75mm² cable. If central control is desired, two wires (power and control) should be routed to each shutter. A 4x1mm² cable can also be used, providing phase for upward and downward movement, neutral, and protective earth. Limit switches are typically integrated within the motor. It is advisable to install access boxes near the window for future modifications and to ensure that cables are routed properly before plastering. Common configurations include 5x1.5mm² cables for both power and control, with manual buttons for emergency use.
