    Hello!
I wanted to know ORIENTATIVE how many hours of hard disk work is a lot?
It is known that when the disk starts to break down depends on how much we use it (copying, ripping data) and what kind of art we get.

Is 20,000 hours worked already a very big result?

It is different. I had 5,000 disks and 50,000 disks withstood. There is no rule. I've found older disks are more long-lived.

The working time of the disk does not matter that much because no one can estimate it. There are disks that fall after a month and there are those that work without failure for 6 years and there is no indication that it will break. The most service life depends on the conditions in which the drive works and what kind of play we get. The fact is also that the producers, unfortunately, come down with quality (Seagate used to give a 5-year warranty on drives, now only a year - it results from something). The most important parameters influencing the life of a hard disk are: power supply (brand), disk temperature during operation, how often it is turned on and off, shocks. 20,000 hours is just over 2 years. I don't think it's very much. However, if the disk starts to behave suspiciously, i.e. it slows down, freezes, bad sectors appear, the heads work strange, SMART indicates errors, then such a disk should be replaced.
