How to Remove a Danfoss Thermostatic Radiator Valve Head Correctly?
Hello. I have a problem with dismantling the Danfoss head as in the attached photo. I`m not sure if I`m going about this correctly. I am trying to unscrew the nut (marked as 1 in the photo) by turning it counterclockwise. When I unscrew it, the nut marked as 2 also turns and water starts flowing out.
From what I know, the head should be able to be removed without turning off the water supply. Am I doing something wrong?

You`re doing the right thing, but the valve is too loose and you unscrew it together with the head. You need to grab the valve with a wrench and turn it to the right and the head nut to the left.

This head is an Everis 4240 for a Danfoss RA insert, this nut serves as a clamp for the holding element on the head, if you screw on the head and grip it well, you can use it to counter the nut and it should release. Unless someone tightened it with a wrench, then you have to act as the guy above writes. Only this way there is very little space for the key.

How to Remove a Danfoss Thermostatic Radiator Valve Head Correctly? I also have a similar head and I don`t know how to remove it, it`s -15 outside the window and the house could be warmer, but I can`t remove this stupid head. I read that you need to set it to the maximum and turn the ring behind the numbers - but nothing turns. And the best thing is that a few years ago there was a plumber and in a cold winter he removed it with one hand O_o. It`s some kind of click head. If anyone knows how to remove this crap, thank you in advance
