Hello, I have a problem, when I connect the router to the modem it appears on the modem (CM900) Orange LED on online and blinks very quickly, no internet or wi-fi working, only wi-fi signal, but no internet.

Once it worked, I could go to the configuration in the browser, but now I can't, I don't know what to do, once it worked and now it doesn't. : /

You have to make up your mind, you use either a browser or a dedicated application.

Oh yes, so I can only use a dedicated application now, because I cannot even enter the configuration in the browser.

    1. You connect via LAN to the router.
    2. You type IPconfig / all. The name Gateway will appear in the card you are connected to.
    3. The address is entered into the browser.
    4. login and password to the router (probably on the housing or box)
    5. Router settings from the WAN side are done through "Dynamic IP".
    6. You set up WiFi (encryption and password)
    7. SAVE and restart (not reset!) The current router.

But I can't go to the configuration address now because it only worked for me once, now it only writes what is shown in img.

Can you read? I will write this in capital letters - ROUTER NOT FOUND.
Check buddy cable connecting router to your computer.
Check in the properties for the card on the computer that it is enabled.

Do a router reset as advised by your colleague above.
The router did not give you the address - "Auto-configuration IPv4 address". You have to get the address from the pool as on the sticker on the bottom of the router - 192.168.0.100 and more.
    Besides here:
http://www.tp-link.com.pl/resources/document/TL-WR842ND_V1_User_Guide.pdf is manual, read page 9.

And you are right - I will not "tighten", take care of yourself, well-mannered friend.

I didn't mean it, but I don't like when someone gets stuck on something, when I don't know myself.
Restarted and still the same ip.

No connection to the router, do you have the cable in one of the 4 LAN ports?

Yes, in one of the ports.

And still the same ip, maybe it's because of some settings in the computer, do you know how to restart them?

The settings are ok. Have you checked on a different cable? Wireless network is visible?
  • #21 12385427

Yes, the wireless network is visible, you can connect but you can not enter any side on a tablet, I checked on 2 cables, and the modem on these cables grabs it without any problem, the problem is visible when this LED is blinking quickly, and if it was blinking slow, it was possible to access the settings in the browser.

When you connect the cable from the computer to the LAN socket on the router, the LED becomes active (lights up)?
  • #25 12385477
    Azyzz
    Level 9
Yes, it becomes active, and then on the modem (that fast flashing LED) with the inscription online it changes from green to orange.

But what does the router have to do with the modem if it is disconnected?

Well, when I put the disc into the drive, it writes to connect to the modem and computer, so I connect. What else should I do?

Uninstall the tp-link program, restart the computer, connect only the router to the network card in the computer (one cable) and give screen-a again from ipconfig / all.
Configuration via a web browser, enter http://192.168.1.1

    I haven't installed any program yet because I can't.

So connect the router itself to the computer, at the moment there is no modem for you.
