    Hello,

Does anyone know how colloidal silver sold in our country in pharmacies is made? What is more or less the production technology of this product - they do it electrolytically (as you can find descriptions on the web along with generators), or some other way?

They grind / grind the bars into a powder and mix with gelatin or other filler.

Seriously? After all, large particles will come out, and from what they write everywhere it is the best as small as possible. In addition, where does gelatine come from, how is colloidal silver made of water?

3 9v batteries in series, pure silver electrodes 99.99, resistor limiting the current to 2mA (minimizes particle size), purified, distilled water, such as from a pharmacy and an hour of 'electrolysis' for 0.5 l of water. I ordered the electrodes from a goldsmith - he rolled 2 strips for me, which are then easy to clean from the black oxide coating. For starters, you can add a little 'silver water' from the previous time to increase the initial conductivity of the water. The water can also be boiled and the reaction can be carried out hot.

    I recommend!

I know how to do it at home. There are descriptions of silver generators with a change in electrode polarity in the network. Apparently better than the battery itself. What I mean, however, is how silver is produced from a pharmacy. Maybe someone knows something.

Could someone tell you why anyone needs colloidal silver at home?
I found one use, but it's not medicinal, so why are they selling it in a pharmacy?

Apparently you looked poorly. It is sold in the pharmacy as a dietary supplement. You might be surprised, but it works. I have a health problem that I will not describe. At least, the drugs were of no avail. Silver is not likely to cure me of it either, but it does improve my condition considerably. For the time being, it is the only drug that has helped me in concrete terms, and drunk in small amounts. By the way, I quickly dealt with the persistent cough. And no, it's not advertising. You can find various information on this topic on the web. The only information I am missing is the specific results of colloidal silver research. It's just that no one has studied it, or the results have not been disclosed.

But we're getting off topic. I will just add that home-made silver does not have the same properties as bought. At least I noticed it on myself. Hence the question how do they do it?

Welcome. I would like to resume the topic. He has been trying to make colloidal silver for some time, but no knowledge is available :| . Actually, the problem is the layout of the power supply itself. I mean a simple circuit with a current limitation.
I know, I know that for most forum users it is very easy :D but not for me :D . If anyone could help me, I would be very grateful. :sm9:

    How is it really?

I have been drinking for over a year without a break and so far I am not blue :P But I have a total of 10 - 15 ml per day.

As for the circuit itself, the best one is one that does a low current and changes the polarity of the electrodes. I do with a current of no more than 1mA. Unfortunately, the glass takes several hours. Clear water, of course, 0 - 1ppm in the measurement. This time the action is similar to that of buyers' silver. This from the pharmacy has gone broke recently. Passing the laser beam through it, you can see a barely visible ray despite the fact that it has a dozen or so ppm on the TDS meter (10ppm according to the manufacturer). They used to have better ones. Mine is 10-12ppm and a clear radius. High purity silver electrodes and I clean them every 3 hours. Isopropanol is doing well. Before the next new use, I lightly polish and clean, otherwise it will take longer to do.

    Hello Szod.
Well, this is the circuit (diagram) I mean. I found such a layout but without describing the values of the elements. As I mentioned, I am not an electronics engineer, so I have to wait for someone to send me something ready. I started to make (try) such silver, but with the help of some power supply, connecting a resistor along the way. I realize that even if I choose the right resistor, it will be wrong, with time the resistance will change and more current will flow. And this is where my knowledge of electronics ends :D
Ps. I will also ask you about the effects of the silver itself.
I have read a bit about its properties but, I will ask you about its effects. Does it really help our body so much, at least in fighting bacteria (single-celled)?

If you do not have any experience and lack of knowledge in electronics, it will be difficult for you to do something even from a ready-made schematic. I have seen ready-made generators on sale, with low current and polarity reversal. I don't remember how much they cost (200-300 PLN?), But they sold them straight away with silver wires. If I were you, I would go this way and buy it ready. There are uC-controlled. Additionally, if you do it yourself, you need to get a TDS meter. You need to check the water before use if it is clean and also the finished product. The meters are not expensive. I bought water in different places and one has a few ppm, and the other has 0 - 1. As for the action, let me say this - I had a problem with bacteria and even took antibiotics very often. The condition did not improve. Since I have been drinking, the problem has eased. I don't know how it works, but after taking it for the first time, I remember the effect was electrifying, even though I drank 2 x 5ml at that time. You could feel the changes on the second day. But how is it in life - it is not known if it will help in a given case. You can buy a bottle at a pharmacy and try it out. As I wrote, they seem to be weaker now, so you can take more.

Once upon a time (long ago) :D I tried a bit to make power supplies for CB radio and I think it was successful. Until today, probably even 2 are operational :| . I think this knowledge and skills have remained at least a little bit. As for the electrodes, I already have it. And when it comes to water, I buy me not far from the manufacturer straight from the tap. Apparently, this water has good parameters. Only the dts meter remains and certainly some info from people who already make silver.
You may know such people :D ?

    Hello colleagues
I have a coincidence that I have to make such water for a child. I have a laboratory control power supply. My question is in what frequency the polarity should be changed. I think making a polarity toggle timer will do the trick. The current is fixed on the power supply as well as the voltage.

As I wrote before, I have max current. 1mA. Larger is not recommended. If you don't set it so low, you need to add some current source. Polarization can change at different times. I didn't experiment much there. I have it set to 30 seconds. This can be done, for example, on some H-bridge and a timing system. Instead of a bridge, you can give a small relay with two changeover contacts, but you will hear it working. I have described the rest of the production details in previous posts.

    Welcome back.
    Question.
How long does such one portion of silver take (how many hours) and how often do you need to wipe the electrodes from the tarnish?

You've been writing this topic since last year, but you don't think you're reading. In my previous posts everything you ask is written.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the production methods of colloidal silver, particularly focusing on electrolytic processes versus alternative methods. Users share insights on home production techniques using pure silver electrodes and low current settings to minimize particle size, emphasizing the importance of distilled water and proper equipment. Some participants express curiosity about the commercial production methods used in pharmacies, noting differences in efficacy between homemade and store-bought colloidal silver. Concerns about safety and the potential health benefits of colloidal silver are also raised, alongside discussions about the need for proper equipment, such as TDS meters and power supplies with current limitation features.
