    Hi,

Can you advise whether it is worth repairing my laptop or how much may it cost ...?

I am the owner of a Mac book Pro (apple), which is only 3.5 years old.
For some time now strange things have started to happen with him ....
The computer "freezes" and overheats from the bottom many times a day.
After a few minutes of break, it restarts it by simultaneously pressing the D + start button. Then stripes and stripes appear on the screen: dashed, horizontal (previously there were vertical stripes), sometimes the screen is blank.
Everything works fine after this self-repair, until I use pages, keynote, imovie, sometimes skype.

    Thanks for your valuable advice

PS unfortunately I don't have Polish letters.

Probably the cause is too high temperatures on the integrated graphics chip in the processor (Intel HD 4000). The GPU, overheating, displays artifacts on the screen. It would be useful to maintain the cooling system.

Report the temperatures under stress using, for example, a program HWMonitor .

It's Mac. HWMonitor will not run on this system.

As a program for monitoring the system, I recommend iStat, and to modify the cooling system (changes in fan speed depending on the temperature), macs fan control works great.

    Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for the hints,

Apple service replaced the graphics disc for free, due to the fact that it was a production error :-) . Now the computer works great.

Sorry for the lack of Polish letters, but I have Danish keyboard

    I greet everyone

And they gave a reason for replacing the disc?

Yes, it was due to a manufacturing error. I found information on the Internet that all laptops from this production line (I was in the norm) are subject to free replacement or repair. Then I reported to the Apple service and they fixed it :-)
