    Hello.
    I tried to delete a CDFS iii partition it was an error. I tried to do something smi_mptool_v2.5.27_v8 but I don't know how to handle it completely. I don't see it as a drive on my computer. I am asking humbly for some help, there is nothing important on it and even though the flash drive is tiny (4gb), I feel sorry to write it off immediately because it is nice.
    First, data from ChipGenius

    Try WinSetupFromUSB 1.4 and click FBinstTool ... it usually saves my pendrive if I mess too much on it and after formatting with the force function I have it ready as when I connect to the computer for the first time.

    Hello

    I have a very similar problem, although the opposite I have I need to create a CDFS partition on a similar USB stick.

    The obstacle is the FLASH memory chip, unknown to the SMI Mass Production Tool program, in my and your case it is SAMSUNG ECD788BF

    Data from ChipGenius

    USB Device ID: VID = 090C PID = 1000
    Controller Vendor: SMI
    Controller Part-Number: SM3257ENLT - ISP 141218-AA-
    Flash ID code: ECD788BF - Samsung - 1CE / Single Channel [TLC] -> Total Capacity = 4GB

    memory information from SMI MP

    Unable to Access 4GB USB Memory Bar After Failed CDFS Partition Removal Attempt

    I found the latest version of the SMI program on flashboot.ru

    flashboot.ru/files/file/445/

    it's posted on February 26, but it doesn't recognize memory either.

    In the program folder there is a ForceFlash-XXXXXX.SET file where X depends on the version,

    for another USB memory with the previous version of the flash memory with the symbol SAMSUNG ECD798DE the definition of the FLASH chip is as follows:

    A591 = Samsung, 16Gbit (8KP) (256Page) (19nm), K9AAGD8U0B (TWIN + 2Plane + 4Ext-intlv)
    Samsung, 16Gbit (8KP) (256Page) (19nm), K9AAGD8U0B (TWIN + 2Plane + 4Ext-intlv) = EC, D5,98, DE, 94, C5,2,2,2,1,1,4,2E, F0,0,0, FF, FF, 1,60,60,1,8,1,1,41, C1,2.0, FF, 0.46.0 ,,,,,,
    EC, D7.98, DE, 94, C5_0 = 592
    A592 = Samsung, 32Gbit (8KP) (256Page) (19nm), K9ABGD8U0D (Single_DG)
    Samsung, 32Gbit (8KP) (256Page) (19nm), K9ABGD8U0D (Single_DG) = EC, D7.98, DE, 94, C5,2,0,2,0,0,8,5E, F0,0,0, FF, FF, 1.60, 60, 1.8, 1.1, 41, 1.2, FF, 0.46.0 ,,,,,,

    where EC, D7.98, DE, 94, C5 coincide with this memory information from the SMI MP tool

    Hello

    pidar is right, the latest version of SMI MASS PRODUCTION TOOL has recently appeared on the website http://www.usbdev.ru, albeit with the transcend logo. But it's not a problem.

    http://www.usbdev.ru/files/smi/transcendsmbyusbdev/

    file TRANSCEND-SM32X-PV1.1.64-BY-USBDEV-O0311 7 019 274 bytes

    after unpacking

    sm32Xtest_V2.5.41_v4_O0127

    Works with the bone described earlier

    ECD788BF - Samsung
    Samsung K9ABGD8U0E

    Thank you very much for help.
    greetings

    maybe it is worth updating to the latest version, ie smi mptool, and the SMI MPTool V2.5.27 v8 M1004 version for the SM3257ENLT controller.
    it's worth doing it, because I bought a used 4gb flash drive and it should be 8gb, after uploading the latest version, almost 8gb was recovered and in 4gb housing and it's free from errors! it's from a different version of the controller, I even bought a new 8gb mini flash drive and it should be 16gb only a new version of the controller and it is 11gb, but this is not the end, maybe there will be a new version and it will be possible to recover close to 16gb.
