Hello. Today, after turning on the laptop, I did not have internet. After a few reboots of the router, I decided to restart. "Preparing for Installation" appeared before shutting down. After 100%, the laptop has not restarted, only for several hours there is an inscription "restart". Will it finally start or can I turn it off with the button without any consequences. I will add that I installed mcafee internet security yesterday.

Hold the "POWER" button for several seconds until the laptop completely turns off and then turn it on again. Write down what happened. Check for updates.

Are you sure nothing will happen? Apparently, when updating, it is better to wait also to be sure.

Approx. I was expecting something like this. I will write what is in a moment

After switching on, the update message appeared again, but everything went without a problem. After logging in to the notifications, I received a message that the update could not be completed. Check for updates via windows update or treat it as a one-time system hang?

Try to install again via Windows Update.

Winows update shows that there are no new updates. For security reasons, it still scans the entire laptop. Is this mcafee internet security recommendable? I noticed that after installing it, my hard drive works louder.

Upload a screenshot from Crystal Disc Info. You need to make sure that the hard disk is not damaged.

Personally, I don't like MCafee has always annoyed me, and it is being forced into unwanted software with other programs, so maybe that's how I rate it. I even prefer Avast with ads. I choose Comodo from the freebies. But that's a matter of habit.

As my friend writes (?) Above, show SMART of the disk because maybe problems begin with it, and the sooner you find out, the better ...

I have personally used Comodo Internet Security for the last 3 years, it has never let me down, but now I'm testing Panda Free out of curiosity and so far it's all ok.

Ha, I also currently have Panda out of curiosity and maybe I'm just pissed off by the constant notifications how many days I have left and "Buy the full version" ....

And what's next in the table, we have to guess? since it is impossible to take 1 screenshot, then you have to do 2. 99% is all right, but just in case add the rest of the table.
