    Hello

I apologise in advance for the perhaps wrong terminology. I'm a computer scientist, but I'm not afraid of electrical and electronics (I know what a tin soldering iron or calphonium is and I know how to use them).

I have a turnkey house with roller shutters installed.
As I really wanted to automate my house and I got a LAN module (Elro HomeEasy HE8140IP, a remote control and 3 socket controllers at an attractive price (200zl), I decided to automate the roller shutters.

A problem arose with the up-down switch.
HomeEasy HE8140IP: How to Control 5m Roller Shutter With ON/OFF Modules Safely?

Namely, the only modules I can find for my HomeEasy (He840IP) are of the ON/OFF single type.
And for a roller shutter you need a "twin" switch which will not allow two state 1's to be switched on at the same time (two state 0's are OK).
I prefer to consult the experts on the subject before exepriming.
A roller shutter covers a 5m wide window

    My questions:
    1. can something happen to the motor/electricity of the roller shutter if the up and down leads are switched on at the same time. Will something be damaged or will the roller shutter just stand still?
    2. is it possible to implement an up-down programme using a single RF switch and corresponding relay?
    3. maybe some other modules cooperating with the gate which will have everything integrated (idiot-proof) ?
    4. maybe other modules complete and inexpensive to develop, cooperating over IP and switching autoamtics over RF 433/8xxMhz (systems 1000pln+ do not interest me) ?

(for helpful answers - at least 2 pcs gives points!)

I wish I could give myself points
    I need:
    Smartwares SH5-RBU-04A
And this will take care of the control issue, unfortunately another problem remains, namely whether a manual switch plugged in in parallel will not cause me a "limp" if 2 different states are given to the motor ?

    Again, I will help myself.

As I have programmed a stand-alone remote control in addition to the control from the gateway, my wife has expressed that she would still like a control on the wall.
    I then have two options.

To find a switch with batteries that will control the above Smartwares SH5-RBU-04A (at a cost of about £90) - however, I do not want a device in which I forget to change the batteries and it stops working.
I will therefore add a controller which will bypass the SmartWares and operate autonomously with a manual switch (and the smartwares will become the central control).

This will also give the possibility to control the fins more precisely.

So I bought the STR-3P roller shutter controller from F&F.
    It should be sufficient.

Next post in the help yourself series.

Unfortunately the STR-3P F&F controller did not meet the requirements as the motor direction is controlled by the N wire, and in my case I need control of the L phase wire.

    I replaced the controller with RS1-WD from Uni-Trade (http://allegro.pl/show_user.php?uid=7314645)

Everything works as it should, I can raise o lower with Home-Easy and raise, lower and adjust the louvre blades with the bi-stable switch.
