Hello. Live preview of hikvision cameras via the website does not work for me. I use opera, but chrome also doesn't work. Everything was going normally a few days ago, and now when logging in to the site I see the message "download and install the webcomponents plugin". After downloading it, the plugin installs normally, but the live preview still does not work and I still see this unfortunate message about downloading webcomponents. What could be the reason?

I have it too, it does not work on any browser under WIN10, checked on two computers. On old XP it's OK.

You need to download an older version of the browser from opera or mozilla's website. New versions of browsers do not support flash. Another solution is to switch to iVMS.

Thanks, and your path is a fool for hikvision. Seemingly so big, leading and professional, and unable to adapt to changing market conditions. It is a scandal that I have to use an archaic browser on a new computer, only because someone does not want to reprogram the software

Today I called Volta - the Polish representative of Hikvision. They know it and advise me to install a firefox which runs it on. When asked why you can't play on chrome, opera or edge, you replied that the Chinese had a fight with google and will not support his products. It's kind of weird. Personally, I use the opera and I am not going to switch to anything else, but I also had to install this unfortunate firefox, which the opera does not grow up to the heels, otherwise nothing from watching the monitoring ...

as for the preview of hika cameras and recorders as well as the Internec on chrome is possible.
In the Internet, they advised me to install IE TAB and my problem was solved.

On W10, it also works on a regular Internet Explorer, you only need to add the domain or IP of the device to the compliance view in the settings.

Are you talking about edge? There is no longer IE in win10. I'm looking at edge and can't find these settings

This information is on the Internec website should help

WARNING! - after updating the Opera browser to version 37.0 and logging in to the INTERNEC camera / recorder, the message "Click here to download and install the plug-in is displayed. Restart your browser after installation is complete, even if the plug-in is already installed. To solve this problem, enter opera: // flags in the address bar of the browser and then search for an entry called Disable NPAPI plug-ins and select the "Disabled" option.

After restarting the browser, you can get the image from INTERNEC cameras / recorders.

For me, on w10 it works in both IE and mozilla, so I advise you to check the settings, or install plugins manually from the disc attached to the devices, and if the system wants to update the add-on from the camera, ignore it.

Hello, after updating Opera to version 38, it stops working and it is like before, it asks to download the component and nothing, worse, with opera: // flags the Disable NPAPI plug-ins entry is removed and nothing can be changed.

Do you have any ideas what to do next?

    Edit

From what I have read, they withdrew (read google) from using npapi and suggest using other browsers that support this api system (as they say and dangerous).
We are left with IE because the web preview works on it, best regards.

I refresh the topic because from today I have exactly the same problem and it was working yesterday. I checked on Firefox 52.0 32 bit, Microsoft Edge and Chrome 57.0.2987.98. In Firefox, despite manually enabling the option in about: config "dom.webcomponents.enabled; true", it still does not work. Interestingly, it works on Internet Explorer 11.953.14393.0. Windows 10 64bit operating system

    Montersi the best :)
For posterity, it will write shortly that in a new Firefox tab, enter about: confg. Find Accessibility.AOM.enabled and add a Boolean setting called plugin.load_flash_only and set to false then restart the browser.
Montersi also write that Firefox from version 53 will not support this plugin at all, so what next? Will there be an update from hikivision, are we doomed to Internet Explorer or iVMS?

Now it has stopped working on Mozzilla. Mozzilla version 52 does not support NPAPI.
Will HIK do something about it?

    Added after 21 [minutes]:

I suspect that Hikvision will not do anything about it. Chrome has long stopped supporting npapi, and they haven't done anything about it. Mozzilla also announced a long time ago that from version 52 they will not support plugins and no traffic.

Why, Mozilla is the same as Firefox ;) . In my opinion, all interested parties should write an e-mail to Hikvision support to change the plug to flash. If they get hundreds of e-mails, maybe they will do something about it? :)

@wotik since this is good news, I would not like to hear bad news from you ;) we write for Hika support in HTML5, do you have any other proposal?

No wonder it happened as it happened. So far, everyone has done everything in their own way through proprietary plugins, which, once - set their own "standards", and two - and this was the main problem - caused security problems. If everything were so simple, we would probably have a ready-made solution today. Is HTML5 - I don't know, but since they want to standardize something ... I don't know - maybe there should be plugins that would be somehow "certified" by the browser manufacturer? For now, dedicated software remains, be it for PC or mobile solutions - each manufacturer offers such ...

Hello, it works, it works and on IE after adding IP to compliance, it also works on palemoon, but I have a problem with viewing the image remotely, I have ddns on no-ip.com, connect to the recorder after entering the address in the browser (address: port) the recorder reports, logs in, goes to the preview, the cameras seem to be detected because the screen is divided into 4, but dark. After LAN it's ok. Maybe you have some suggestions. Regards
