Hey. Like every IP camera or IP recorder has a web panel that allows you to configure the device.

Maybe these panels worked in the distant past (or maybe they still work in China today), but nowadays there is no chance that these panels work properly.

The only option to manage such cameras / recorders somehow is an application General_CMS_V3.1.0.8.T.20170417.exe

    Sample camera:

    For a second camera:

There is a blow here that OCX is missing, however, its installation in the system does not change anything at all ...

Admittedly, the General_CMS_V3.1.0.8.T.20170417.exe application works great. It even allows you to configure hardware options for individual cameras and recorders (and fortunately, because if you can't stick to the WWW panel sensibly, you can't configure them at all).

However, I would like to force my browsers to work with these cameras. However, I do not know what plugins are really missing, and once it is clear how to force their installation.

    Anyone have any idea?

I have similar problems in hik. The only valid browser is IE ... :-)

Exactly. I also started off, on bare IE on Win10. And only on this. In addition to IE, you can also use a dedicated camera management application (including their configuration). It's great :-)

    General_CMS_V3.1.0.8.T.20170417.exe

It is a pity that there is no support for other browsers.
Chrome with IE tab also can't handle cameras / recorder.

Firefox version no newer than 51 and also works (by no means what I work on), of course works on IE, only every patch restores security and you need to manually adjust the settings.

As for Hika, I gave it up with the browser preview - if there are no updates since the preview was done, it works without a problem. Now I install IVMS and it works - worse with performance like an old computer. And if there is such a possibility then I mount some monitor and the problem solved - the most certain. Alternatively, an HDMI converter over LAN.
Helpful post? Buy me a coffee.

As for the impaired plugins, I recommend lowering the security settings in IE. It always works :)

    @Mes_ Mariusz

The fact that there is no plugin / plugin means only that there will be no preview.
However, the part of the configuration that does not require preview can be carried out without problems on EVERY browser, because the panel and its interface can be seen normally.

Of course, the above does not solve the problem, because there is simply no preview, but ... you asked about access to the panel / interface, not about the preview :)

Not always. Sometimes (I did the last topic) without the required plugin, you can't even log in to the camera panel. Fortunately, even in W10, IE is still available, and everything (only on it) works.

Linux users probably need to use Wine with IE installed to get to the camera from a browser. This must be nicely annoying ;-)
