only a 4mm pin is sticking out and it does not look like a nut or bolt yet. Tomorrow I will take a picture, maybe something will help

Hello. I have a NACTE55DW scythe. Unfortunately, there is no thread on the motor axis, only a push-in Christmas tree. I took the hacksaw blade and then the lighter and destroyed the entire old head. I have already ordered a new one for this model. Taught by the experience "do nothing by force" because in my life I destroyed a few commutators and windings in motors, I gently destroyed the old head with a saw blade and a lighter. There is no lock or latch in my scythe, I think that's the only solution. Uncle "Google and YouTube" say nothing on this topic. Best regards and good luck - Krzysiek

    Hello
    I have a GARDENA EasyCut 400 trimmer.
As a colleague "Krzysiek" wrote on the axis of the engine is the so-called a push-in Christmas tree.
I changed my head as follows:
In the center of the head there is a hole in which the spring is placed.
After removing the spring, you can see the end of the motor shaft.
In this hole I screw a wood screw with a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the hole.
The hole is 7mm in diameter. The screw has a M17 head.
I screw in with the wrench holding the head until it comes off the axis.
    It looks like the picture.
    Regards.

I bought the same trimmer - great equipment, but the head fell apart, I read the thread above and ripped the old head in half with a soldering iron.
The axis of the trimmer has such cutters as a Christmas tree, you can not download it with home methods.
while the installation of the new head took 3 seconds, along with the alignment of the axis and the new head :)

    Almost good gift.

But there is nothing here about replacing the head - just replacing the spool ...

    1. I pissed on WD40,
    2. I took a flat screwdriver, a large,
    3. I put a screwdriver all the way to the hub,
    4. I pried up on the principle of a lever, slowly - the head began to move out,
    5. When I ran out of the screwdriver lever, I took the thicker metal part and finished ejecting the head.

I was afraid that the axle would not bend or damage the engine housing, but how it worked ok :spoko:
